The anti-spiral sees that infinite growth cannot be sustained in a finite universe. The universe is absolutely massive that they were throwing galaxies at each other during their fight, but even with such a scale there is still the very real danger that everything will be consumed. The spiral nemesis offered no actual response, only that freedom is awesome. Simon himself didn't bring Nia back showing that he himself isn't a spiral supremacist, but the actual issue wasn't addressed. Imagine the foxes leading a revolt against farmers, saying that there's no guarantee foxes will eat all the chickens and there's no right for the farmers to shoot them.
