Berserk

It's becoming increasingly clear that Guts stands absolutely zero chance at even remotely inconveniencing the Godhand. Even their mere manifestations are too much for him. I can see no possible end to Guts' quest beyond a horrible, horrible bad end if he tries to take them on.

what if he got really grumpy

Why doesn't he try diplomacy? no real problem was ever solved with violence.

Considering what he did when he faced the manifestation of Slan in Qlipoth was to charge right in roaring at the top of his lungs and was promptly defeated in two pages with a fucking HUG, I don't think getting angrier is going to work.

What if used an invisibility potion and slipped at night into their bedroom to cut their throats?

Schierke and the other magic users will level the playing field somehow.

The war is for humanity's soul. If they don't want a savior anymore they will reject Griffith. Guts just needs to continue demonstrating the will to survive. The endgame will look like the Tower of Conviction but all of Falconia.

I think Guts will stop giving a shit soon and some other people will BTFO Griffith. The next chapter will most likely show whats going to happen next regarding Guts and his quest for revenge, if skullknight finally has something to say other than ''muh causality, bye'' which is likely.

Zodd will betray Faggith and become bros with Guts

Let's go down the list.

>Void: Literally would not care. Would likely wax philosophical about CAUSALITY before tossing him into a blackhole or some shit

>Ubik & Cornad: Wouldn't care. Would probably manipulate him into destroying his soul

>Slan: Literally wants to rape him and obliterate his soul

>Femto: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

>Conviction
how did the skull knight get so powerful though, maybe guts will have to give into the berserker armor to get the power to defeat griffith

wasn't that before his beserker armor though

Schierke damn near pissed herself just from sensing the ridiculously minor manifestation of Slan in Qlipoth. Unless some major escalation happens, or she manages to get one of the Kings on the line, she isn't going to be of much help.

never.

>if skullknight finally has something to say other than ''muh causality, bye'' which is likely.
i think he will but I don't want to get my hopes up

The Berserker Armor just allows him to ignore pain and perform beyond his already superhuman limits, and was the only thing allowing him to survive following Slan's passing-by. It wouldn't enable him to deal with her manifestation anymore than he did beforehand.

The Skull Knight is basically a godly revenant at this point. Note that even he, complete with the Sword of Actuation, can't actually DO anything to the God Hand. Void casually waves away his attacks with barely a glance. Femto completely redirected his blow and merged the dimensions in spite of his defiance.

Even if Guts got Skull Knight levels of power, I doubt it would get him anywhere closer to being a threat to them.

What if he just gets even more angry, but with the berserk armor, while the other characters cheer him as always.

Berserk is the best manly manga ever, he's just like me and so on.

Berserkor armor healed him from Slan's attacks. She damaged his soul.

I'm betting Miura is going to reveal they're basically Umineko Witches and govern multiple multiverses or some crazy bullshit with how vague he's kept them, just to escalate ever higher. The goal changes from facing them directly, to just trying to secure some position where they won't instantly annihilate everyone and everything on a whim.

Best hand after Void

Ubik manifests in style, and his smugness cannot be beat.

Nearly obliterated it in fact. He was lucky to still be alive.

Guts is getting weaker, he is losing his senses and his body surely will not hold for much longer, meanwhile Griffith grows in power and strenght.
It's not fair ;_;

Griffith/Femto is an inhuman cosmic horror literally causing the narrative to revolve around itself, and all it took was, what? A few hundred sacrificed souls? Meanwhile, Guts has suffered and struggled but is still at decidedly mortal levels, but his raw determination and anger is the one thing keeping him from admitting and succumbing to the futility of it all.

The main crux is that whilst Griffith is stronger, he literally lost his soul and all of his personality and self for it. Whereas Guts found new friends and allies to keep him going, even as his body starts to break.

Guts isn't going to win or survive this in any real sense. But he's going to spit in the eyes of Gods before he bites it. And that's wortb all the pain he's gone through.

sad but true

If one of the God Hand (say, Ubik or Conrad) came to him after the revelation that he can never ever be with Casca again due to how horrible the mental trauma from the Eclipse is, they could likely pull a Griffith and push him into evil then and there. Wouldn't even be hard. He is at the MOST vulnerable he has ever been in a long time, and if they cared, the God Hand could remove him from the board entirely. But they don't, so they won't.

Once Skull Knight talks to him, it'll likely be what strengthens his resolve and spirit once more.

>But they don't, so they won't.
Out of arrogance?
Or Guts probably doesn't really matter because of the scale the God Hand operates at (ergo Griffith can't be beat, no revenge story 4u)

I feel like the other God Hand simply won't be defeated in the end. At least not completely. They seem like literal personifications of evil and chaos that can't be killed on a personal level. So even if the world is saved from them, evil will persist in some form.

Griffith by contrast has some trace of humanity left in him and an apparent physical form, whether it stems from his hate/love for Guts, or his fusion with his and Casca's son. I think that will be his undoing in the end.

Mostly the latter. The God Hand see both him and the Skull Knight as literally less than irrelevant. Femto doesn't even seem to hold the same direct obsession he did for him back when it was still Griffith, and basically ignores his entire existence. Not out of ego or arrogance, but literally because he's so inferior to him it's like wondering what the average bacterium thinks about you. The only one who even really seems to notice Guts is Slan, and that's just because she wants a new toy.

Guts and Skull Knight are basically facing Lovecraftian Outer Gods, with all that implies. They're not remotely worth the bare effort it would take to get rid of, so there's no point.

does femto even remember that he raped Casca?

I think Falconia will probably go up in smoke (whether due to Griffith autism or something else) and Griffith as a physical existence will likely be destroyed, but Femto itself will continue to exist. Keep in mind that Femto is jsut like the rest of the God Hand now, an abstract existence of pure evil and disorder.

The most I can see happening is that it loses a tangible body, and just goes back to being an omnipresent force pervading all layers of reality.

I'm 99% certain that he doesn't. That seems exactly like something he'd forget.

But would they need the whole song and dance of the pseudo-eclipse for Griffith's rebirth if his physical avatar wasn't actually important in some way? Not like the others needed some big sacrificial ceremony in order to just fuck around with the human world.

Attached: rats.png (1144x1256, 778.25K)

The others were making temporary avatars to answer or oversee summons or just fuck around in reality. Femto went the extra mile and crafted a permanent physical body so he could LARP to his hearts content as the White Falcon and king of Falconia. So it's not that he couldn't have done what the others were doing for so long, but his obsessive ambition and desire for more is basically the one thing he truly inherited from Griffith, and it pretty much had him go ahead to create a long-lasting tether to existence.

I feel like Skull Knight had the right idea trying to weaponize a tool that tears holes through reality. Shame it didn't do jack shit.
