This way the whole experience was a 9.5/10 for me, but if I just straight up went through S;G, the ending would have felt like an asspull probably.

Groundhog Day is great but Bill Murray really lacks any agency in whether he repeats the day or not. Everything is just decided by the plot whether he advances to Feb 3rd or not, which is conveniently when he wins the girl.

CT mostly uses time travel as set pieces with only a few things advantage of it.

S;G has clearly defined time travel rules and mechanics and is fully utilized. The only really questionable thing is the mechanics of Reading Steiner, especially on other characters.
