The fight against black sniper chicken god was embarrassing even considering that the series in general likes to play the hard counter card way too often. And fuck how tedious it was. It's in the top 5 of worst Bleach fights, despite revealing Kyouraku's bankai. Though it gets beaten by Discount Thor: God of Growth on the logarithmic shit scale. How often can you say "lol you think you've beaten my? think again!" before it becomes parody material? People looking forward to the final season seem to have forgotten how shit the final arc was at the end.

Bleach is about shit ton of characters that you don't know what their actual motives are but with an asspull the story gets revealed. Kubo would say he intended it all along when he created the character. I think it makes Bleach what it is.
Foreshadowing in this series would kind of defeat its purpose.

In general I disagree - a lot of things are results of breadcrumbs spread here and there. One can argue what what planted consciously and what was simply there for Kubo to expand on it later, when idea struck him.

This, however, was a bullshit asspull. This whole fight was huge disservice to Kyoraku.

Why does nobody call G4 an asspull? Especially with all its different forms.

I like Kubo's character designs, and also his use of harsh contrast and really opaque black

But Bleach usually has some foreshadowing, or at least hints early on that Kubo can use for whatever later. This was really out of nowhere though.

It's literally not. The ability already existed in a slightly different form in the CP9's Soru, and Luffy copied it via observation. Also he used it for the first time against a third-rate mook he probably could've beaten without it, so it didn't even come in to magically save the day at the last second like a proper asspull should
