The space part at the end was a bit strange but nevertheless my 4th most favorite anime

There was a lot of hype going in but overall it turned out to be complete garbage and 02 is an overrated shit waifu

This was Atsushi Nishigori's project, first and foremost. The series composer having much less of his fingerprint on it. And Nishigori is a man who worked with the people at Gainax who would go on to start Khara and Trigger in most of his major roles that aren't related to being the headman of something like 4 seasons of Idolmaster. He tried to do an anime like most of his mentors and senpais (Anno, Tsurumaki, Imaishi, Nakashina) had made in his time working with them. Whoever produced DitF obviously had faith from them that he'd do it and he even got support from his mentor's and senpai's studios. Like any original anime like this, it was kindof a wager on Nishigori ability to bring this vision of his to life. But it ended up being a flash in the pan ge couldn't quite bring together.

Darling in the FranXX failed because of Atsushi Nishigori failing where the guys that came before him did not. The reason Trigger was plastered all over the marketing was because Tigger has the most personality as a Studio. You don't see fans dedicated to A-1, Cloverworks or even fucking Khara like they are to Trigger. I really wish people would take more to learn that people are more important than studios and if they are going to talk about the production details of an anime in relation to quality of the anime itself that they would learn the actual facts behind production.

It was okay in the beginning I guess but just jumped the shark too early on the whole “we’re all being controlled” thing and the mechanics aspect became an afterthought compared to their focus on the coming-of-age stuff.

It just wasn’t planned well at all.

Franxx as a whole is one of those anime that needs constant reminders that it exists for it to actually be remembered. Not as a good anime, but just an anime. It would already be dead by now if there wasn't a waifu competition and discord trannies with zero two profile pictures. Yet here we are, all because "robot dino girl make my pp hard"

it was very good until episode 15, the rest of the setting had potential for development but it could have ended there. The bad end ruined the memory of the anime, leading to what says

It was literally the greatest story even told until chapter 15. Then it went to absolute shit and I hope someday I can delete anything after 15 from my brain and go back to loving the fuck outta this show.

it was a nice show but i would not go further than that. Additionaly I would say that the last few episodes after her geting over her past were unnecessary. Overall Franx [15] is still better.
