I got high hopes for Undead Unluck, but so far it's just been a disappointment to me

One Piece for the last 10~12 years. Somewhere around Thriller Bark Oda just completely gave up on the art and paneling. Ever since then he just shits out a million different panels 90% of which consist of completely fucking pointless character reactions and miscellaneous background characters.

modern One Piece is the very definition of eye cancer and the art/paneling decline is one of the big reasons why I stopped reading it.

The way the character on the right is framed leads the eye to the bottom right panel but the reading order should be on the left. Also he completely blocks whatever the hell that black thing is.

Why do the nips make us pick between good paneling and good art? Shounen/Seinen art looks like it was scribbled on the back of a napkin but Shoujou/Jousei always looks crisp and unique

I've never seen a shoujo/jousei with art as good as shounen/seinen

I would say most action manga have bad paneling.

The black thing is the glove which is ripping apart as he's walking.

Most shoujo seems pretty amateur compared to shonen or seinen manga art wise. I don't know what kinds of things you're reading that makes you think shonen or seinen have bad art often. Monthly stuff especially (and a lot of shoujo manga is monthly too) usually looks fantastic.

Wouldn't day atrocious, but a lot of old school shoujo has very busy pages which makes it pretty difficult to read, because your eyes go to the flowers or character lines outside speech bubbles.

UU's paneling ranges from mediocre to kinda weak in general, I think. I say this as someone who's following and enjoying it.

but dragon ball super at least looks clean and is never hard to follow. yeah toyotaro is a shit artist, but he at least has some idea about paneling.
