My hero academia

I'm 80% sure that this arc is Shigaraki's last arc. Shigaraki was never interested in ruling or taking over Japan, the original plan for the war was"Shiggy destroy the country proving the heroes useless than the liberation army come in and start a Quirk revolution" in this arc we see Shiggy semi achieve his goal. that distraction is more for heroes' reputation to handle.

Shiggy is going to lose in this arc. only villainfags believes he's winning.

if Shigaraki loses this arc
what kind of threat could keep the story afloat for the 2nd and 3rd school years?

AFO was always going to be the real villain. He is obviously not staying in that prison.

Shigaraki is OFA now. He's the final boss. He wins this arc and gets away largely unscathed.

AFO gave his quirk to Shiggy
AFO only has a cheap copy of it now

For now

That's what I've been thinking. How can you get a better villain? I've been thinking that they can go to America, find about the origin of quirks or we can have aliens.

maybe Hori could reveal a new villain, a respectable one, not a manchild. like what Kubo did

the entire plot is setting him up as the greatest villain to counter deku the greatest hero. His last arc will be the last in the series.

get rid of shiggy and write a new one or AFO possess shiggy's body at least we get a villain with a charismatic persona

>Shigaraki is OFA now
>now
Yeah, the good goy is proving useful for its master.
Then OFA will go back to its real owner.

so throw away all the foreshadowing and plot structure so far to replace the fan favorite villain with a less popular one, genius.

The entire theme of the manga is passing torches, user. This would not make a lick of sense.

Why would a bad guy willingly go along with a theme

so were Pain, Aizen, Chrollo, Buu... etc

>fan favorite villain
he's not, what are you talking about?

>passing torches, user.
AFO kept its fucking role, quirk and reign throughout 6 or more faggot OFA wannabes.
Learn to read, torch passing is for the so-called self-styled good fags, while the evil is one and the same.

Buu genuinely was the end of DBZ and Chrollo was never set up to be a final boss. Sometimes authors follow through on their plans. In fact, in modern Jump, I'd say it happens more often than not.

Unless both he and Deku die so that the power scaling is reset and the series can continue.

No, no they were not.

Literally nothing in the manga supports this idea. The All Might v AFO fight explicitly contradicts it. The fundamental mechanic of the series is Quirks, abilities that grow stronger as they pass through generations.

check the popularity polls, it's not even close. Shigaraki was 6 and afo was like 40 or something.

How many years is UA? A time skip is more than likely going to happen so year two will get the chopping block. That's provided they even go back to UA after all this.

that's why MVA was the lower point 'and sale' in the series.

Aizen definitely was

No its because the japanese don't like villains and more interested in the slice of life moments in the story.

the poll was during MVA arc, precisely during Shiggy's tragic flashback. and he scored lower than Ida who hasn't been relevant for 3 arcs.

not to the same extent, the entire plot of mha is shigaraki going on a parallel journey to deku
it didn't have the other more popular characters and volume content is only a minor factor in volume sales.
he was the highest ranked villain in every poll

>abilities that grow stronger as they pass through generations.
Literally muh genes.
That only applies to fucking OFA and muh child-killer eugenetic expert Endeavor.
Again, AFO amassed all its fucking quirks and only gave out crumbs to some of its servants.
There's no torch passing for the villains.
Shiggy is simple shock value, a full hatred brain washed virgin coomer incel that is rioting against society because he couldn't grow out of puberty within its parents.
After the jagoff teen's tantrum is over, papa AFO will come back and set the score, showing that only under his command there can be peace in the fucking world.

Can't you see it, user?
Shiggy is a fucking pawn that will be sacrificed by its fucking master. OG AFO just needs plenty of death and to be released to stop the fag tantrum.

>more interested in the slice of life moments in the story.
thank you, finally someone admits it. people don't like Shiggy, they sympathized with his tragic back story

Deku won't die, but I can see him losing his power, or at least a part of it

It's not just OFA, the quirk singularity is an ongoing plot point. Even if AFO tries to take back his power Shigaraki will likely kill him, because the whole point of the manga is that successors are more powerful than their mentors.

>user with no serialized manga works of his own thinks he can change an already massively popular manga for the better
we have this episode every day

Horikoshi is not a subtle writer, he literally told us the point over 100 chapters ago.
inb4 "afo is lying!!!11!"

Deku is going to beat Shiggy and become the number hero in his first year of highschool. Fucking wow.

>Chrollo was never set up to be a final boss
wait, Ryodan aren't the final villains?

>whole point of the manga is that successors are more powerful than their mentors.
You could say the same shit for avery other shounenfag.
But it's not this way, again. AFO kept its throne for a fucking long time. Not even AllMight in its prime was able to end him.

you can't though, not every shonen has a villain who is in parallel to the mc getting stronger then their mentors. The only example I can think of is sasuke in naruto, and he ended up being the final boss.

You certainly could not say the same for any other shounen. Literally, the singular, main theme of this manga is passing the torch. Hori returns to it over and over. Every main character's arc is about trying to live up to their mentor. The characters who didn't have a personal hero were given one during the intern arcs. The fundamental mechanic is genetics which grow stronger with each passing generation. All for One lost after several successively stronger generations confronted him, at which point he realized that to get his revenge he would have to raise a successor of his own. It is the entire point of the manga. Find a way to work your views into that framework or go be stupid somewhere else.

>Shigaraki was never interested in ruling or taking over Japan,
he isn't?? can someone verify this

I'll agree that ruling doesn't seem to interest him, but destroying all of Japan would appeal to him greatly. Just being a destructive force of nature that roams the world erasing countries seems like his dream.

I dont like how much Hori accelerated Shiggy's growth, in just 2 arcs he's become probably the greatest threat to all of Japan. I thought there would be at least a bit more to the whole villian faction infighting stuff before he came out on top, but nope it was done all in one arc. Then there's the bull shit with the quirk erasing bullets (which will probably be used against him as at this point he doesn't even need it). I was hoping for a slower more nuanced build up, but at the same time there's hardly any substance to the story so I understand why Hori gave both Shiggy and Deku BS powerups to get it over with quicker

so IF he wins, that it. just destroying japan and retire

Why would he retire? There's a whole world to destroy.

I kinda want to see him win just to see him disintegrate the sea, then go on disintegration country after country, till there is nothing left but Shiggy

it feels like Hori want to finish with Shiggy and write him off

>deku gets big power buff
>shiggy gets big power buff
>hori wants to write out shiggy
????

Ok, let's assume the opposite.
If Shigaraki wins, how can UA continue to function when the rest of Japan is in chaos?

he just wants to destroy what AM built "peace in japan" so I will say yes. retired
