Why doesn't Togashi let someone else do the art for him? Either an assistant or maybe even ask Sui Ishida who he's friendly with and who is a huge fan of the series, did a Hisoka one shot iirc
What is the point of 10 chapters then a year break when he seems to have the story mapped out but just can't draw it?
Because of "muh pride and honor" that makes him refuse to let anyone else draw his manga.
Ryan Bennett
in his interview after yu yu hakusho ended he said he couldn't let go of the ideal of drawing the manga almost entirely on his own, and when he is at maximum stress he only feels satisfied if he draws the whole thing himself even if it looks bad. That's why you see people say he doesn't use assistants and is stubborn.
But that is outdated, in recent interviews he said he is fine using other people to draw if it makes the product better. But for now he believes some fans want the mangaka to both write and draw, and he is having fun drawing hxh.
Also, it's clear he isn't drawing a lot of the current manga. In his jump ryu interview he said the assistants drew the big double page spread that introduced the black whale. You can also see in the manga a lot of the background characters don't look like he drew them, and a lot of the characters look more flat compared to his style, and a lot of the manga detail is in special shading added in the volumes, which assistants do.
Ryan Kelly
Because it's not the art stopping him. It's never been the art. He's written himself into a corner and doesn't know what to do
Liam Wood
didn’t his wife help him draw hxh a few times?
Christian Rivera
Because he's a nip and nips are infamous for being stubborn to the point of stupidity. That's why they got two nukes dropped on them.
Blake Campbell
Literally this. He uses that art excuse but it’s all bullshit. He just doesn’t want to see his work crash and burn once again
Josiah Jenkins
togashi was clearly fine with publishing crappy art before. The idea that after all these years he's still trying to draw the art is a hilarious cope. He's stuck on the plot
Connor Jenkins
>He's written himself into a corner How?
John Nguyen
Either he just doesn't want to work or he's struggling with something. It's clearly not the art so that just leaves the writing.
Nathan Sullivan
Well chimera ant was full of hiatuses and he finished that. He's just lazy
Thomas Lee
Seems like pure conjecture to me. Has Miura also written himself into a corner? No.
Grayson Taylor
This, just outsaurce it to china. Maybe draw one panel here and there if he wants to make it really "Togashi"
Matthew Hughes
why can it not be art? His problem is back pain, drawing is the physically demanding part. No matter how hard the writing is he doesn't need a year off to write 10 chapters.
Anthony Gutierrez
Miura doesn't repeatedly go >"Sorry I'm sorry I promise to work I'm sorry I'll just give me more time I promise next year."
back pain excuse again is bullshit you dont need to sit to draw, and this arc has been mostly just characters standing around talking. togashi's art isnt complex either if he wanted he could just produce scribbles and clean it up later like he did before. chimera ant took 8 years and this arc so far is the most complex not to mention all the other loose threads. its obviously the plot this hack is stuck on.
Alexander Stewart
He was successful with Yuyu but Jump fucked it up on their end (bad editor and conditions for him) so he can do what he wants with Hunter as long as it stays popular.
He is very rich, has a rich wife, and has his kids. He isn't interested in burning himself out AGAIN being a mangaka.
Anthony Jackson
source?
Kevin Campbell
nigger you don't have to paste it as it is from google translate you could've at least re worded it into a better, more coherent sentence.
Lucas Brown
Like there no reason for him to draw manga anymore unless you think he gonna do it for "the fans"
Connor Wright
Why the fuck does he need to work when he and his wife are millionaire? put you in his shoe and you will do the same
Liam Cox
>IESLB Shut the fuck up.
Leo Rodriguez
Its called laziness..
Jonathan Powell
>Sui Ishida Could work I think, but he's already working on a new manga.
Connor Price
Retard can't handled the truth huh?
Robert Martinez
We should all glad for Togashi for he have made a wise decision of not burning himself up again to meet weekly deadline
Okay retard, so you're basically saying, a manga that is still going is objectively garbage?
Liam Morris
BASED on Sailor moon and HxH BASED
John Hughes
>He and his wife are millionaires Are they actually this rich, like is there any legitimate proof not retarded conjuncture
Jose Scott
>unfinished work can't be a masterpiece >what is Summa Theologica, Mozart’s Requiem, Hi no Tori, The Brothers Karamazov and multiple of Kafka's writings
>manga ending >what the fuck is this garbage mai waifu doesn't win >meanwhile hxh on hiatus is basically Togashi telling his audience to grown up and use their imagination >Zig Forums sill doesn't understand Togashi way of show don't tell
An ending is overrated as fuck, the journey is far more important.
Thomas Cooper
would it even make a difference at this point? everything post-CA arc has been utter dogshit. all the most damaging memes abut this series came after the CA arc.
just let it fade into obscurity. that's what happens when previously good manga turn shitty.
Adrian Evans
>Sailor Moon has received acclaim, with praise for its art, characterization, and humor. The manga has sold over 35 million copies worldwide, making it one of the best-selling shōjo manga series. The franchise has also generated $13 billion in worldwide merchandise sales >The manga has approached close to 80 million in sales. Yoshihiro Togashi's net worth is $25 million dollar
Lucas Taylor
His wife is motherfucking sailor moon author you stupid fucking retard,
