I truly believe this coin will be at around ~$1/day mining in the long term, and I do really expect it to eventually reach ~50k+ users. That will be around a 20x from now when you calculate how much dna people get from mining and how many nodes there will be.

Here are my real-world use cases that need a solution, that I'm convinced Idena provides:
1. Decentralized identity on the blockchain. It doesn't have to be 1-1 for everyone as long as the vast majority is 1-1. Some big brains will have 3 nodes running, and that's not only fine, but fair. They are smarter than you, let them have something for that.
2. UBI. Big brains will get more, but they arguably deserve more too.
3. Most decentralized blockchain *ever*. This is already a fact. This is the most important part of security on a blockchain, so Idena has a real shot on becoming the safest chain in the world. Don't forget that this is the primary use case of any cryptocurrency. I'm not saying Idena will throw off Bitcoin or even Ethereum, but the most decentralized project in history of crypto will not remain under top 100 for long.
4. It is one of the most elegant solutions to the human oracle problem. Today it is already used to determine answers to approx. 10k "left/right", i.e. "yes/no" questions. Just as validation sessions are used to verify flip answers, they can be used to verify real-life events. Did a certain person get elected? Who won in Real Madrid vs. Barcelona 2020? Is OP a faggot? I am not sure if devs are aware, but they accidentally made a working system that can answer these questions.

Problems with the project:

1) No regular person, who is not a NEET, has the time to do a validation session. Here in the UK it's at 2:30pm, which is a time when most people are working (unless you're lucky and validation happens on a weekend). Unless there is widespread adoption (and I mean widespread) and there is a worldwide recognition that people have to do validation at this set time, it will never be useful. This will never happen due to the fact that for widespread adoption to happen people have to suffer this until then. The only reason it seems viable at the moment is due to the coronavirus since everyone is inside with fuck all to do.
2) Culture affects flips quite a lot. What seems obvious to you may be very confusing for someone, in let's say, China. Sharding will help with this but that seems like a distant future.
3) Not scalable. Again, sharding will help with this.
4) You can run more than one human node. For me this is a dealbreaker since the whole premise of the project is that you can only run one, so it fails at the core problem it was supposed to fix.
5) Normies will just log in with Facebook or Google or something, too much effort to have a human Idena identity.
6) "Muh UBI" - The reward drops proportional to the number of people on the network, so the rewards will be worth pennies by the time this project becomes universal, which it wont.

I've done some light development for this project in the past, I heard in my time that the lead developers wanted the invites to only be distributed among your family members and friends, which is just delusional (who's family is interested in crypto lmao). This just shows the overconfident attitude the devs have, that this will automatically take off when it clearly wont. Sure it seems to solve a "gap in the market" so to speak, but it has many flaws and deluded devs.
