Shinachiku Uzumaki: Nicknamed Shina-chan or Chiku (which he hates lol), he’s normally the eldest son of Naruto and Sakura Uzumaki. Born on November 7th…making our little boy a Scorpio. His appearance usually consists of green eyes, like his mother and a slightly lighter, paler shade of blonde. Sometimes w/ a strawberry tinge.
His name originates from an interview with Kishimoto around the time Road to Ninja – The Naruto Movie was released. When asked what he would name Naruto’s child, Kishimoto jokingly mentioned how many wondered if he would continue to a new series with Naruto’s son, and suggested that he would name him ‘Shinachiku’. When the name wasn’t used for Gaiden, many NaruSaku fans adopted it and it eventually stuck. The name of Naruto’s son that never came to be.

Many people might find my Shinachiku a little boring. He’s not a loud kind of person and is usually pretty calm, but don’t mistake that for timidness. He’s confident in what he can do, but he’s not always willing to participate in activities where he thinks he’ll do badly. He prefers not to take a leader position, but he can easily be blackmailed….talked into it.
Shinachiku likes to learn, you might even say he LOVES to learn … but only if it interests him. Many subjects in school are quite boring, he does what he needs to to get a just above average grade. If the subject interests him (subjects including travel, a little history, and medicine), he’ll go above and beyond to do his best on it, sometimes even going TOO far. Some subjects distract him completely and more often than not, that math homework from the day before will not get finished before he got to school.
Missing a homework assignment that isn’t about travel, history, or medicine is not uncommon. Sakura scolds him for this all the time, but Naruto insists their son is a genius compared to him. (not really a refutable statement) He’s very curious, sometimes leading him to forget to keep his hands to himself or not to touch strange things.
He can’t stand bad puns and dumb jokes. He does like pranks, but only small ones that he thinks benefits both participants. He can easily be convinced to participate in something bigger, but he’ll complain the entire time.
Shinachiku is not very stubborn at all. It is VERY easy to -blackmail-convince him of almost anything. You’ll know when a topic is near and dear to his heart when he doesn’t give in, even if he’s threatened.

While Shinachiku deeply admires his father, he adores his mother. It’s a common joke among fans that Naruto and Shinachiku playfully compete for Sakura’s attention. Shinachiku tends to win the competition.
When he was young, he desired to be Hokage AND a medical ninja like his mother. He ransacked Sakura’s medical equipment and wore bandages on various parts of his body. As he grew older, Shinachiku’s skill set and interests shifted closer to Sakura’s profession. Sakura trains Shinachiku on medical ninjutsu and similar fields, but Shinachiku often loses focus with his studies. Sakura often scolds Shinachiku for slacking off on school work in favor of getting deeply involved in his hobbies.
Shinachiku’s relationship with his father varies from fan to fan, but a constant theme throughout is Shinachiku’s distaste for Naruto’s humor, but appreciation for his father’s kindness and determination. Almost all interpretations of Shinachiku and Naruto’s relationship includes Shinachiku’s great admiration for his father.
Although he is a lot like his mother in many ways, he resembles his father more than he would ever admit. They share the desire to make things right in the world and they care deeply for their friends and family. Most fans desire for him NOT to follow his father’s footsteps.

Shinachiku wields twin tantos ‘borrowed’ from Sasuke, but he also uses his fists like his mother. While secretly looking through Sasuke’s things, Shinachiku found the tanto and decided to learn how to use them. He doesn’t know if Sasuke is aware that he ‘borrowed’ his tantos or if Sasuke ever even used them.
He achieved the Byakugou like his mother and Tsunade. Some fans draw him with a yin seal on his palm, implying he can use the yin seal for an even stronger boost in strength or slicing power when activated. Shinachiku was not born with any influence from Kurama so his power will never match his father. He has inherited above average chakra storage thanks to being 1/4th Uzumaki.
He was discouraged when he realized he would never be as powerful as his father. Upon learning Tsunade was also 1/4th Uzumaki, he gained new confidence in his abilities and future shinobi career.
Although not much has been written in depth about his ambitions, many NaruSaku fans believe Shinachiku does not desire to be Hokage after his father. He admires and respects the position, but he wishes to find his own path out of his father’s (and his mother’s) shadow. He draws parallels to Konohamaru who wanted to be called Konohamaru and not the ‘honorable grandson’.
