Couple things:
>Miko wasn't very endearing to many when she was first introduced (one-note gag, interrupting StuCo room hijinks) (not all you autists just so we're clear, some people obviously liked her even then)
>Ishigami gained a lot of fan sympathy after the Sports Festival arc.
>Miko's dynamic with Ishigami has not changed much (if nothing else this arc is a good opportunity for some character development)
>Tsubame is an easily digestible "nice girl", contrasting with Miko's more prickly personality.

So you have a character people like, paired with a contentious character, another character others would love to be the real pairing, and a meta layer that makes Miko losing more possible than it normally wouldn't be.

I mean, I really don't see how Iino can earn any points in this whole thing. Tsubame is a good girl. She's unlikely to fuck up, and neither is Ishigami. They both are one step away from becoming a couple. Iino is far too late into the game.

If anything, it seems to me Iino is on her way to Makidom, unless she learns when to give up.
