Is this one of Animes Goat episodes?
Who was in the right?

None of them

>T. Ashoka The Great

Iskandar was right

>Rip off of Three Kingdoms
>Goat

Saber came across as a pathetic child.

Understandable as she never got to grow up properly and was stuck in the body of a teenager as her friends and family ages around her

There are only 2 real kings in that pic and they are right.

Gilgamesh
Arthur was a fantastic knight but a terrible king who's drive to be a superhumanly good king left her dehumanized to her subjects and unable to forsee how non-repressed people would react to her decisions. Iskander was a vainglorious buffoon who was only interested in conquest and partying, and assumed just setting a good example would let his kingdom sort shit out on its own
Gilgamesh, while an egotistical asshole, understood that kingship meant being an administrator of human resources and wellbeing and that sustainability was a higher priority than ceaseless expansion

Well she is 14

saber is the correct one.
iskandar is basically "alellelele who cares about my kingdom's prosperity, as long as i'm inspiring my subjects then all is well, i can do anything i want. saber you're a shit king because you put your kingdom first before yourself, that's why you're so depressing and nobody likes you"

>animes

Broskandar. You all know his name while King Arthur is a myth and normalfags would say Gilgawho?

Based Iskander had an Iron Maiden song dedicated to him as the closer on their best album. Gilgamesh got a pretty cool Rainbow song during the Dio era.

Seibah just gets a few songs by literal who power metal bands.

Three different approaches and apart from Gig, the others have not ended well, but that doesn't necessarily make them wrong.

Still, Iskandar never had to deal with running a kingdom in peacetime, so any judgment on his part is bullshit regardless.

Gig here is "pre-maturation" so he doesn't give a shit and smugs from the top of his arrogance.
Caster Gig probably have could have said something about that, although I assume that in his mature form, he would simply have found the attitude of both Saber and Iskandar quite annoying and wrong.

Gil>saber>iskandar
Iskandar gets shilled, and is glorified excessively in Zero. Some bits are borderline apologetic of warmongering and tyranny ("oh, I caused many deaths of my own people due to my personal ambition, but that's okay, because I INSPIRED some of them, just forget that I dreamed about declaring war on the whole world"). Even worse, his own empire collapsed immediately after he kicked the bucket, showing how poorly he administrated his own kingdom.
Meanwhile in this scene, saber is an ooc, meek king who fails to make any sort of effective rebuttal to her adversaries. However, she ruled relatively well and even managed to keep camelot from collapsing for another 10 years after it's intended demise(timelock shittery). While I do agree with rider on his stance on her regretting her rule, I wish that uro didn't write her into some half assed honorfag, just for her to get shat down by the others.
Gilgamesh, while being a huge asshole, was pretty much the best ruler of all the three. After his journey, he settled down in his lands, and administered them pretty well, being well loved by his subjects well after his death.

I genuinely like that this thread has people backing every one of the kings
Truly GOAT

But the scene makes sense narratively.
Iskandar is boastful full of himself, convinced that he is absolutely in the right.
I have never perceived this scene as Uro who wants to throw shit on Saber, but more than anything else to characterize Isnkdar's enormous ego.

This debate it is literally the "Zig Forums of the Kings", where it does not matter who is right or who is wrong, but who has the strength to
defend one's ideals.

Saber is full of doubts. She's just experienced ruin and defeat, while Iskandar never had to deal with these humiliations.

Pretty obvious that from his point of view Saber is just pathetic.

>("oh, I caused many deaths of my own people due to my personal ambition, but that's okay, because I INSPIRED some of them, just forget that I dreamed about declaring war on the whole world"
Based as fuck

>w-we were bad kings on PURPOSE
How will Saber ever recover? Masterful storytelling by Urobuchi.

Why is zero so markedly better than all the other fate anime? Is Urobutcher the only one capable of writing stuff like the banquet of kings?

Why did Zero treat Saber's rule as too saintly when she was basically Kiritsugu?

Attached: Fate.png (1094x526, 71.45K)

Because Urobuchi didn't understand Saber's character and thought she was just a moralfag paladin.

Yikes, big cringe

Gilgamesh was a awesome king.
Saber Is just a cry baby.

It's one of the best entries, which heavily benefited from having a competent director, and is markedly easier to adapt than fsn as it was a concise light novel told in third person. FSN will never be properly adapted due to its nature as a visual novel, while also placing high importance on the inner monologues of characters(which all get cut out in the adaptations) and subsequently killing what's so good about

35 years old woman who fall for a autist boy because he told her she was a girl.
What a patethic woman.

Gilgamesh deserve better.

"""Character""", lol.

Imagine being manbaby enough to like Gil or DUDE.

Metal is just chuunishit in music form.

because butcher is a hack, he sacrificed saber's character to fulfill his nihilism fetish.

>The main master/servant duo are exactly the same
Gee, I wonder why any writer would make such a change. Such a mystery.

Honorfag saber was horrible.
Still everyone suck her Dick so much I loved how she was treated as trash.

fuck off gook

THIS
Zero has it's flaws, but the fact of being a product born for an anime and not based on a novel is its strong point. There is a good balance between dialogues and actions that shows what matters without explaining it. While in Fate we tend to collapse into infinite monologues because, well it's a novel.

Which Fate character would be best bro as a servant?

ACHILLES

or maybe it's you that didn't understand a thing.
