Axed Thread

Joining the ranks of axed manga are "Choroi desu yo Onigoroshi-san!" and "Ookumo-chan Flashback". Both got cancelled and will publish their last chapter in Monthly Comic Dengeki Daiou issue 7/2020 and Afternoon issue 7/2020 respectively. Bye bye!

Dengeki Daioh axes manga? Is Hinako in any danger?

>are "Choroi desu yo Onigoroshi-san!
Fuck the nips this one was cute and funny

>Ookumo-chan Flashback axed.
I thought nips were all over wanting to fuck their family memebers. Why the fuck did this fail while the mom isekai, as bad as it was, was a success?

>Ookumo-chan Flashback
Maybe he can try something with a better idea next time.

>Choroi desu yo Onigoroshi-san! Getting axed

Damn, I was starting to really like that one.

What was it about? Wasn't it popular?

oni hunter and highschooler couple misunderstandings

>Choroi desu yo Onigoroshi-san!
Why can't we have good things? Is it too much to ask for the wholesome romcom between dorks to survive?

>Choroi desu yo Onigoroshi-san
To be honest, Quirky girl x Straight-man dude formula is starting to get old now.

Didn't it have a pee scene? I swear I've heard about it before.

There is one as far as I know, but the kind where it's not shown.

Guy who looks like an edgy loner secretly likes cute things. Ends up sitting next to girl in the OP who is "secretly" an oni slayer not used to modern society although he thinks she's just being chunni. They start dating at the end of the first chapter.

What chapter?

Checking out the first chapter they seem to have given him some personality at least. It puts it above most of the series where the title is just about the personality of the girl.

6 or 7
don't get your hopes up if you're a pissfag, maybe, it's not like I'm into it to understand it

Fuck man this sounds like my cup of tea. Sucks to hear about it right when it gets axed.

Does Daioh even usually axe manga?

Every magazine axes manga, it's just different standards for what they would consider a success. For some magazines even selling 20k per volume makes you a big series for example.

>have a pee desperation scene
>don't actually show her on the toilet
No wonder it got axed. It got karma'd.

What would be the popular manga in Daioh that aren't LN adaptations or spin-offs? I know about Yotsuba and Colors, but what about others? Are any of their romcoms popular?

It's pretty hard to navigate niche magazines so I don't know much, an example of a popular series in this magazine would probably be Strawberry Marshmallow whose last volume sold 40k in 7 days I guess.

It's a niche magazizne?

I wonder if any of Daioh's romcoms are in danger of axing.

In japan, not big but not niche either (had 130k circulation in 2014 which with the general decline of magazines nowadays would probably put it around 100k I assume), but I was mainly referring to the west, it's pretty hard to follow those magazines unless you're japanese.

What are the popular manga there then?

both were not so good

>Cross Account
>has a chapter where a girl who needs to pee
>doesn't show her on the toilet
>axed

>Hungry Marie
>has a chapter where a girl needs to pee
>doesn't show her on the toilet
>axed

>Onigoroshi-san
>has a chapter where a girl who needs to pee
>doesn't show her on the toilet
>axed
I'm starting to notice a pattern here.

Fucking nips

If they only showed them on the toilet they could have been saved.

If that were the case ureshon would be the most popular manga ever

Ureshon isn't axed yet, it even outlasted all three of those manga. It's just slow as fuck due to how long each chapter is.
