>for me I don't feel like they can be lovers
shut your fucking mouth Shinkai

Are they still airing it?

It cane back because there are almost no new movies coming out. Same with Kimi no Na wa.

oh well that's why. Your Name came out 4 years ago and a lot of people have seen it 10 times.

What about other movies that got delayed? They coming out yet?

So... BD rips when? I haven't watched Tenki yet but I hear it's not as good as Your Name.

Personally I liked it much more, and I believe BD comes out tomorrow

This was a really good experience in the 4D theater

>dramashit
into the trash

BD has been out for almost a day now. Movie was alright. Not nearly as good as Kimi no Na wa.

I prefer Tenki desu.

Both are shit taste but this movie is the epitome of self-indulgent. Guess nips still have shit taste

Thanks for the bump, have a (You)

Why would he even say that shit when he literally created your pic related as extra content in the MV? Just weird to me when the movie has a bunch of romance stuff with the songs and etc. Makes no sense to me.

I think he's just fucking with the audience. He did the same thing when asked why Yukino-sensei was in Gifu when in Garden of Words she's in Tokyo.
>I'll leave it to your imagination

idk, it may sound shallow but it kinda killed my view of TnK. The reason why I loved it is because it's a romance movie (or so I thought) and how far the two are going for the sake of the love for each other. The eventual future of them ending up together as a couple but no, shinkai is just going to say the romance isn't going go anywhere. So it feels like, it's not even a romance movie then. At least he doesn't consider it one based on the interview. I guess at the end of it, Kimi no na wa > TnK. He at least treats KNNW as a romance movie.

Why the hell are they showing a 3 year old movie?

...

Do you have a link or something to the interview where he said this? I want to see for myself

>I believe the audience won't be seeing this movie in terms of how their romance will turn out
He hasn't changed one bit has he. He may not blueball his audience anymore within the movie but he'll find a way to do it outside the theater

Honestly, I'm kinda sick of shinkai shit now. It's all ambiguous stuff in his movies where he's too scared to even show the two characters being an actual official couple. Instead he enjoys blue balling the audience and teasing shit.

For what it's worth the Tenki no Ko novelization strongly implies that Taki and Mitsuha got married behind the scenes. Cheeky motherfucker

So basically he's the nip version of J.K Rowling. And people complain why "Shitkai" is an actual term, what dumbfucks

yeah it makes no sense unless he was coerced by editors or something into adding all the romantic undertones, which it doesn't sound like he was.
I've been thinking about it and the two possibilities are A - he's a genius who (correctly) surmised this would reignite interest in the movie with it in theaters again, or B - he's a faggot who regretted making a straightforward happy ending after the fact because he's Shinkai and all his endings have to either be depressing or vague and unsatisfying

can you spoonfeed me

based tomino called shitkai out on this gay shit

>So basically he's the nip version of J.K Rowling
Let's not go overboard here, Shinkai doesn't retcon shit or drop retarded trivia that no one asked for

When Hodaka returns to Tokyo he visits Taki's grandma again in her new apartment and she has a braided kumihimo bracelet on her wrist that was made by Mitsuha

Is that the gundam creator? Because I'm starting to believe he's right.

He can't do unsatisfying endings right. He only says them outside of the film and when he does try to apply it, it doesn't have payoff because there is no development of his characters so we don't even care for them to make the ending matter. If you want proof on how to make an ending that feels depressing, just look up Manchester By The Sea of even Spec Ops: The Line.

He is. Shitkai fags goes on a sperging spree whenever the name is heard

>When asked what he thought of Kyoto Animation and Shinkai anime, he said, "I see them as my rivals. From my generation's perspective, you don't have to go out of your way to make an anime that feels like an introspective novel." He then went on to describe Shinkai's works as "stories about a boy and a girl who are always stretching out their hands towards each other," and said, "And yet the boy's hand never reaches the girl's crotch."
>"Why do they never go any further?" Tomino went on. "I want him to make a story where they aren't just satisfied with no physicality. Well, Shinkai is still a young director, so I suppose he can make films like that."

You're all being played. Shinkai used to make niche bittersweet movies that didn't do so hot, but gained him a loyal cult of fans. Then he moved on to crowdpleasers, but he knows the average moviegoer will only watch the movie and not pay attention to the meta shit he says in interviews. The people who DO follow what he says in interviews are the ones who actually enjoy the blueballing, because they liked him before he became popular.

Every time.
