Detective Conan

I wish we got more things like this in the series. It feels like most characters are stuck in some only romance plotline or something, and there's nothing intense for the rest of them.

Also like a bunch of people know Conan's identity I wish Sato and Takagi at least knew.

Wis they would play I'll be there again in the series.

His character design was too cool for early Conan.

Takagi doesn't know Conan's identity but at least he actually knows that Conan isn't just an elementary kid unlike a lot of officers (Megure)

I don't think there's any point revealing his identity to Sato and Takagi but it's cool to see adults respect him for his intelligence and not suck Kogoro's dick

>I don't think there's any point revealing his identity to Sato and Takagi but it's cool to see adults respect him for his intelligence
Yeah I agree with that, just would like to see how the interaction and potential dialogue stuff that might happen. I like Megure, but this is why I always like it when it's either an Arson Case, a case in Nagano, or Sato and Takagi are involved, because the officers actually respect the things he says, and he doesn't have to be like Shinichi or Kogoro told me all the time.

God I miss this Detective Conan. Everything from Haibara's introduction to the end of the Red vs Black arc felt like there was a perfect episode every 10th episode, while surrounded by great episodes.

nagano is always kino, it's on different level.

>romance plotline
He ruined Heiji and Kazuha with that shit.

I'm really glad Koumei is getting more chapters because of the whole Amuro/Hiro thing, I really liked the cases where he got involved and how he actually solves cases with Conan instead of letting him do all the work.

>Nagano is always kino
This

Gosho should have gone full BO plot onwards from Clash of Red and Black until the end. Honestly would be kino.

>and all that proverb that lost in translation
it hurts

Unfortunately I love this scene too, it's unfortunate because even though this is Gosho's favorite case, he went back on this very scene and said Takagi doesn't suspect Conan "even the tiniest bit." Takagi and Sato at least respect Conan as a kid and I can accept that. I'd like to see how they treat him knowing he's a teen in the body of a child though. I feel like Sato might have slight Yukiko reactions where she finds it adorable and hilarious. Takagi would probably just be stunned but relieved because he's been talking to a child about some of his problems and the child has been able to help him better than he himself could manage, that child being an older teen takes that pressure off some.

Maybe everyone finds out at the very end? He grows or shrinks in front of everyone, except maybe the kids. It'd be really sad to see Conan saying goodbye to everyone and vanishing off. He means a lot to people and they like him. I'm still torn on if I want Ran to find out or not. I love how she treats Conan as his own person, it's really cute and meaningful. The same is for everyone else in how they see him. Kogoro sometimes treats him as his own child, although dismissive of him generally as a moocher and nosy kid, and the other adults all have some sort of respect for him as a smart kid, all of this would be completely undermined once they find out he's a teenager.

I don't mind that he didn't go full BO plot, but at least he could go back to making some good cases. I was rewatching 'Episode One, The Great Detective Turned Small' and they showed a montage of some great cases from early Conan, and it's cases like those I miss.

I don't think he knows how to write good filler chapter anymore.

I love how they butchered Moonlight Sonata's scenes.

It also came off to me weirdly that they did half of the second episode and cut it off right when Kogoro says he's got a case involving the men in black, and Conan getting in the car and thinking to himself how he's going to catch them, making it seem like to new viewers of the first two episodes, that he's about to encounter them again and we just skip it.

Heiji, Haibara and Agasa, used to be his main partners. But it seems like they all got shoved to the side.
>Maybe everyone finds out at the very end?
I guess. But this guy has been so careless recently, I wouldn't be surprised if like 10 more people found out before the very end of the series.

read kindaichi. 17 out of 19 cases that surpass moonlight sonata.

I wonder if that user who loves Shinichi is still around, and that user who loves Ran.

still the same guy from last thread, I hope conan has his own genius psychopath rival, reika's kidnapping case was underwhelming desu. you read the case series too?

I always laugh at how quickly Agasa became "the old kooky guardian of the terrible children", originally he was Conan's confidant and the guy who was going to create an antidote if Conan could ever find the poison. Then Haibara showed up and completely removed Agasa's main relation to the plot by reverse engineering some temporary antidotes with alcohol. If he ever does find the poison Haibara will be the one to create the final pure antidote because she's the creator. Agasa is now just that old guy who watches the kids, tells bad jokes, and occasionally gives Conan a gadget or transportation.

I feel kinda bad for him, first that hair loss and now this. Those kids don't even really respect him all that much and the movies like to make annual mockeries of him with that traditional joke scene where everyone just wants him to shut up or he gets ignored/interrupted. He also lost his old love while it seems everyone else gets theirs as the universe forces them together even if one of them is so retarded they don't realize who the other is.

>occasionally gives Conan a gadget or transportation
you know it's important right? he's now being targeted by amuro and mary.

> you read the case series too?
No. I know it's silly, that I'm doing this, but I haven't read a single Kindaichi chapters, and only watched the anime, and even though the anime has no proper subs. I pretty much promised myself I would only read it till I finish the anime. Besides there is one guy whose been subbing eps every few months, and it's been years since I started doing this, so can't back down now.

Yes when he gives gadgets to Conan it's still important. When people try to get close to Agasa they're just trying to eavesdrop on Conan since he hangs out with the guy. He'd end up serving the same purpose as Ran more or less. If someone wanted to bait Conan they go through someone he knows. It's a different relevance than being the guy who'd resolve the series plot as originally introduced.

>Agasa is now just that old guy who watches the kids, tells bad jokes, and occasionally gives Conan a gadget or transportation.
He's always been like this, but my problem is that whenever anything gets serious, the only time he's involved it's Professor Agasa made this gadget. There's no more scenes of sharing the information between each other or going doing dangerous stunts.

>He's always been like this
and now it's more or less his primary trait

>There's no more scenes of sharing the information between each other or going doing dangerous stunts.
yea, when was the last time something like this happened with Conan and Agasa?

Is he ever going to finish Kaito Kid or is he going to tie the plots threads in Conan.

After Conan started he still did a little Kaito continuation in his own manga so they'll probably still be kept strictly separate despite the crossover. At least on Kid's side, because on Conan's side Aoyama broke that rule by having Kid actively get involved in a black organization case to fool them that Sherry has died, although Vermouth knows it was faked.

>yea, when was the last time something like this happened with Conan and Agasa?
I don't honestly remember. He even had some an actual role for the Vermouth and Kir arc. But after that it's been more like he's a background character. I would've expected him to do something during the Mystery train or Scarlet Return, but he didn't.

me too started with anime, then I switched to manga after the second anime case (the order is different from manga). while I'm impressed with anime's eerie atmosphere, the manga is miles better. school's 7 mysteries started later (manga's 4th case) in the series btw.
