I honestly tried to redpill my normie friends

And it wasn't just a Pajeet price target based shill. Pic related was just the end of the discussion. Prior to that I had given them a proper academic explanation of the oracle problem and how Chainlink is the third and final piece of the cryptocurrency/smart contract evolution following BTC and ETH and how it will usher in the fourth industrial revolution.
I told them about the partnerships. I even showed them Grade AAA pepe memes. I can do nothing more at this point. I screencapped this, but it might be too painful to show him later on when it does hit $1000 and beyond. I may never reveal my power level. It's not worth souring a lifelong friendship. I really tried my best, what can I say. Anyone else have this experience?

Similar I had to beg friends to buy, two listened.

do you know where the 1k prediction comes from?

are you serious? its a net negative even if you do convince them to buy in. normies just dont get it till its too late.

How is it a net negative. My bags are packed. Nothing can stop this train.

Where?

God damn wish I had someone around me like you guys irl... stumbled upon BIZ 4 days ago .. bought link at 6,21 and 70k RSR..

your friend looks way to young to buy thing without his parents.. someone probably should inform your parents that you give your money to a fat russian scammer. fucking childbrain

Well, 1K is fud.

some random fucking user just said it in a thread and predicted it for EOY2018
Honestly, I think we'll hit $100 at some point, but, for reasons I won't explain here, I don't think it will go much past 200-300

Here's a link in case you don't have Zig Forums-x

>He fell for the $1000 is a meme meme

A lot of holders have this self-aggrandizing delusion that they have somehow used memes to fool a subset of fellow marines into being "useful idiots" who will hold while they themselves cash out at the """"top.""""" These smug early sellers don't understand that they themselves are actually the psy-op victims, not the based, iron-handed holders for whom "$1000 is FUD."

>He fell for the "He fell for the meme" meme
Good luck to you, based retard

most of my normie friends dont even know how to buy a bitcoin
one guy who made a coinbase acc bought like 0.1 bitcoin when it was 15k back in 2017 and then sold it after the crash
i dont even care anymore, i keep telling them to get in but they never listen

It was just a fun post. I'll still be holding a majority of my stack past $100USD, but I don't see us hitting $1k because of reasons

if they buy the top and sell the bottom its your fault. they also know you have a stack. your time is also gone and i doubt they would ever compensate you if it moons and it would be slimy to suggest you need a prize from them for your rec.

That was the famous GET but not the origin of the $1000 price prediction. That has been an unironic predicion since ICO among academic circles. It takes only a bit of number crunching to plainly see that it is a straightforward and actually pretty unremarkable target for LINK given the size of its addressable market. Only brainlets who can't into math and econ think it's a meme.

Kek XRP highest market cap in the bull run = $350 LINK if I recalled.

>academic circles

What is the realistic cap of link?

ETH reached $1000 and LINK is ETH based

You know too much. You'll be hearing from the bogs shortly

Attached: ce.jpg (1442x1005, 953.02K)

because of derivatives markets, eh user?

>if they buy the top and sell the bottom its your fault.
No. I explicitly told them it might correct or keep climbing and that I can't predict the best entry. All I said is they should own some, but it's on them to decide their entry.

>they also know you have a stack.
So? They don't know I have tens of thousands of LINK. Im sure they would be flabbergasted to know I put my life savings into this unironically.

>your time is also gone and i doubt they would ever compensate you if it moons and it would be slimy to suggest you need a prize from them for your rec.
I don't even know what this means. I don't want a fucking prize. I just don't want to feel like the scumbag who didnt tell his friends about a 100X+

Is 81k a meme? Wheres this figure kumfrum

Precisely. So when you take into account that XRP was a fucking scam with no real use case unlike LINK plus the fact that this next bull cycle is going to be even bigger than the last, $1000 is very straightforward.

don't get me wrong OP, I've been holding 11K link since at least early 2018. I'm a believer. There are just other factors. I'll be selling 1K at $50 and another 1K at $100, and that'll be enough for me to accomplish my goals. The rest I'll hold for staking or whatever.

he rightfully thinks you are a retard and you will end up poor

People tend to forget that tech companies tend to be monopolistic especially if their network based.

LINK will most likely take 90% of the fucking market share in oracles, there will be no fucking competition.

Shut up and accumulate. link doesnt need normies to reach high price stupid faggot.

Sir, yes, sir!!!!

I'm an academic economist, desu, and quite frankly, I have absolutely no clue whatsoever where the link valuation is going to end up at.

One thing I'm quite positive about, though, is that link's destination is inherently tied to that of the crypto market as a whole. A top 3 token in the end, no matter what.

Forget the virtual currency function of crypto, that's obsolete. Smart contracts and on-off chain information propagation is where the real value lies in.

Advice not asked for is annoyance.

Do you have any friends that constantly tried to get you into some weird shit you didn't want to do?

That's what you're doing to them.. Not everyone has to like all the same stuff, just get drunk/smoke and talk and do what ever stuff normal people do.

You told them and they didn't care.

I told my friends once, just like OP. Just once. That really all you could do. It a dick move to not bring up someone with you especially if they’re a friend.

Agree 100%. Smart contracts are the foundation of the fourth industrial revolution, and LINK is the cornerstone. The sky is the limit.

It was moreso for my own conscience. When I'm a retired multimillionaire in my early 30s, they can't come crying to me saying I never told them. I have the fucking screenshot and can say "I told you so."

everyone else asks me to care about their interests and i patiently listen or participate because i want to understand them and help them out. when i share link, that same patience and sacrifice is not reciprocated. fuck normies.

they will also never forgive you if you convince them to fomo at the top

Just because a belief is based on nothing doesn't mean it's wrong.

Funny, the exact opposite happens to me - everybody I come into contact with turns linkpilled. So many of my friends have bought. Will they hold long enough? I don't know.
It is nothing worth wasting your time and effort for. If it is meant to happen, it happens.
Just work on bettering yourself and help people around you. It will all work out.
(also it's prob the high average iq and white people country working it's magic)

Only one of my friends listened, he pulled some profit to buy some rural property. Glad I could help him.

I’ve convinced my only one single friend to buy and he’s sitting on a comfy 20k stack thanking me while the other hurried and bought above $2 when the first pump started last year
