I got tested after having almost all of the symptoms. However my doctor managed to mess up my sample and whatever lab they used had to throw it out since they couldn't test it. I was basically told to just act like I had it and never got a re-test for it. I'm sure there's a lot of that along with the high false negative rates going on.

I still think its bullshit.

There's a lab in Florida that got caught lying about their tests saying 100% of their samples were positive. Turns out it was closer to 10%.

It's burned through elder care facilities. Once that happens the low hanging fruit is gone and actually dying of it is an anomaly. Also, many of the symptomatic cases will be healthcare workers exposed to the high viral loads of care home residents and they, in turn, will pass it to family and friends who will have lower, less significant initial viral loads.

COVID-19 is out of low hanging fruit and will be unable to gain further traction unless we do something drastic like get it into some kids and start up the schools. That'll get it back into the homes by merging classrooms into single families and hopefully infect some grandparents so that the hysteria can ramp back up for "wave 2".

Youre not considering: spread is on par with zika (extremely contagious), mutation rates are rapid especially in populations around bats, and people can get reinfected if the virus changes or maybe even from the same one as we dont fully understand this one yet or why peoples lungs fill up and their brains waviness straightens out and strokes form

What scare me are the lasting health problems. No one knows what this shit is doing with your body. Maybe it increases your chance for lung cancer by 400%, maybe it makes your future children retarded, we don't know.

But what we know is that many people report they didn't recover their smell and taste senses months after having covid. There were cases of brain inflammations. Healthy, 40year old people report that they can't work anymore because they feel exhausted very fast, months after having a mild covid infection. It wouldn't surprise me if it is much worse than just a flu that can kill old people

I think people don't realize the reason cities were so fucked wasn't the virus itself but the sheer volume of viral load. It's why it's not spreading well elsewhere. People in places like NYC are in such close proximity they're being exposed to billions of more viruses a day vs a single exposure a suburb or rural person might get.

Yeah, thats a big concern. Despite never having a positive test because of the above reasons, my doctor was pretty confidant I had it based on symptoms. I've had consistent chest pain/coughing for over two months now along with my sense of smell being severely degraded to the point where even the smell of formaldehyde doesn't bother me.

I caught corona back in march and almost died. Eversince my recovery, my breathing hasnt been as good.
