I don't know how the statistics are but it seems to always be at the top of crunchyroll so I have high hopes

The anime isn't doing as good as the Manhwa. In both popularity and ratings. We'll probably get a season 2 but it'll likely be a year or two. Crunchyroll we'll see how their other Manhwa adaptions do before investing again.

I think a season 2 is really likely, when ToG was first announced they interviewed some crunchyroll exec and he said they planned to do multiple seasons
Right now the series is doing ok so I doubt they'd up and cancel their plans just because it wasn't a smash hit

It's very interesting that animeonlies are all fairly happy with the series thus far. Even reviews by some webtoon readers are happy with how episode 9 turned out.
