How does Yuasa do it?
It's a Netflix original, which means it isn't in prison like most seasonal shows that get sent there. It's a Devilman Crybaby sort of situation
Very different vibe from his more typical work. This should be interesting.
Do we know who the character designer is? That style looks very familiar.
>Netflix original
Ahh yes, time for more dead shota kino.
The Japanese seem to be obsessed with their own self destruction don't they?
DIEJOBU
That's what two nukes do to you.
I hate Disaster movies. Besides I think with whats going on in the real world right now, people don't want to be reminded of problems in the real world.
This is gonna fuck me up.
To avoid some problem you need to think about it a lot.
>baitflex original
are you sure this is yuasa?
the characters are on model
That, and they literally live on top of a volcano, a fault line of two tectonic plates with all the earthquakes that entails, and a hurricane hotspot.
I think disaster movies will be cathartic for a lot of people right now because they deal with much more concrete, more immediately visible problems than we do in real life.
The girl is going to be raped by crazed neets who want to lose their virginity before the end of the world, isn't she?

kek
what? would it remind the Japanese of being in some imaginary apocalyptic war zone?
delet
>Fighto fighto!
>subtitles say "I must pick myself up"
more like Japan Stinks AHAHAHAHAHA
Just wait until he runs out of budget.
>implying budget was why yuasa movies look like tattoos on fat people
Im starting to dislike the lack of shading on his characters.
One girl I'm ride your wave looked sickly white. Like she's hours away from dying
>Yuasa
>Netflix
Yeah no.
it doesn't always fit the atmosphere of the work but I mostly like it
I think it's more bright and cheerful than the sterile shading that most anime have nowadays
I hope a good group saves this from Netflix, if there are any left. Asenshi rescued BNA but I don't think this is up their ally.
I heard Yuasa retired after this
He was my number one fire punch adaptation director
The PV is subbed, and appears on both their international channel and their regional channels for Asia, Italy, etc., so it's probably getting an international release.
he retired from his studio but that's only 6 years old
I know, Yuasa's recent output is terrible. Hopefully the upcoming movie with Matsumoto's designs goes back on track.
It's indeed subbed but as the person I replied to pointed out, it looks like a very liberal translation that doesn't even sound natural. Worst outcome other than a straight up machine TL.
Wait, I misread your post. Yeah, I don't think Netflix does literal machine TL, but their translations can be pretty shoddy. Let's hope they put a good one on such a high profile project.

AOTY
Mind Game is so Peculiar.
It's one of his lesser works yet many people in he film community who are into watching foreign films have seen it.
People I know who don't watch anime have seen it.
K I N O
>disaster porn and human drama tearbait
What an absolute waste of time and talent
Netflix is way better than HBJew, Jewlu and Disney+
>this std is better than this std
