One Piece

Why are some people dissatisfied with Jinbe joining? He’s strong, looks cool, has a unique fighting style, been involved with the crew the longest across story arcs, personally helped Luffy with his greatest struggle pre-ts and so on. Him telling off Big Mom was great, and his yakuza introduction was cool. If that’s not enough to make him a member, I don’t know what is.

It just seems weird that people want or expect him to be killed off right when he finally came back. But maybe it’s just contrarianism since it’s been a long time since a new member joined.

>The strings are extremely thin and some may even be invisible, making it almost impossible to notice and avoid them
>Using his "Parasite" move, he can make his victims move to his will by moving his fingers accordingly. He has shown himself capable of controlling large amounts of people at the same time without any apparent effort. This ability is even powerful enough to stop the physically strong "Diamond" Jozu in his tracks
>The strings can also be used for cutting, allowing Doflamingo to effortlessly slice off body parts and destroy weapons. He managed to cleanly sever Oars Jr.'s right leg in one swift motion
>He can also glide or fly in midair by attaching his strings to clouds, creating a "Sky Path"
>Doflamingo can use strings to repair his internal organs
>Doflamingo can shoot a thick rope made of condensed strings from his palm and whips it at the target. Range can go from the sky of Green Bit all the way to Dressrosa, a distance of many kilometers, and is strong enough to cut through a building at that range
>Doflamingo can form a clone of himself that is incredibly strong made entirely out of compressed strings. Consists entirely of strings, it does not feel pain and nor does it carry physical pain back to Doflamingo, unlike other devil fruit copies
>Doflamingo's birdcade exudes immense amounts of strings, unravelling it, which shoot high into the sky as a concentrated beam. They diverge to rain down to all sides in an umbrella-like fashion to cover a large area, even the whole Dressrosa, creating a gargantuan, wire-domed force field, slicing absolutely everything that passes through it, from cutting physical things to even severing such immaterial things as the signals of Den Den Mushi to the outside.Even multiple mountain-sized meteorites being unable to dent them, let alone breach through them
>Doflamingo's mastery of his Devil Fruit is so advanced that he was able to awaken his powers, being able to even turn his surroundings into string

He did. He just wasn't on the ship until recently.

Good lord that scene was kino.

>gets on ship
>only to immediately get off the ship
I think his gag is to never actually sail with the whole crew. For some reason after Wano he's going to fuck off on his own again.

>he did
Retard you know what I mean. Being with the crew instead of fucking off for couple hundred chapters, some cockteasing at WCI and then a year after WCI finally get with the crew with little to no fanfare

The fanfare was in the chapter you posted, it did get a double spread. And another double spread in WCI of him joining.

>He’s strong,
Too strong, it's not fun when he can just wipe away most difficult challenges the SH come across, that's why he was left out of the first 3 and a half arcs after FI.
>looks cool,
Debatable, he's shaped like an egg and has retarded tiny legs.
>has a unique fighting style,
It's just "punch, pause a few seconds, then they feel the hit" or shooting water jets.
>been involved with the crew the longest across story arcs,
What exactly do you mean? He's been away for most of the timeskip.
>personally helped Luffy with his greatest struggle pre-ts and so on.
Which sets him up more as a mentor to Luffy like Shanks or Rayleigh, not a crewmate.

Some of us expect him to die early because he somehow escaped big mom twice. Pedro had to pay life years to get away, so it wouldn't be weird that he had to pay a similar price, right?

>Too strong, it's not fun when he can just wipe away most difficult challenges the SH come across
In terms of pure strength Jinbe is just below Kaido or Big Mom plus he has what the most powerful martial art in OP?

>just below Kaido or Big Mom in strength
ohohoho

I just love how there's zero mention of his personality (the only thing that matters)

He's the grizzled straight man.

no personality, he is just going to sit on the back doing something calm (like robin).

So is Zoro, but Zoro has more to him then just that.

Because Jinebi is a boring faggot

Attached: 0979 beast pirate outfits.png (577x765, 426.97K)

That's exactly the point.
Jinbe's a complete straight man. They're going up against Yonkou at this point, they can't clown around. While Zoro's getting lost, Jinbe's either coming up with plans or getting shit done.

>Jinbe's a complete straight man
Which makes him boring.
>They're going up against Yonkou at this point, they can't clown around
You're treating him like a plot device, and Law is the one who made the plan so you aren't even right about Jinbe's contribution.

i think he could have interesting interactions with robin (aside from the fished meme) since they seem to be the more mature members and robin is always kind of apart from the others in that regard

Eh, you're discounting straight men, most comedy duos always have a straight man. They're a needed element so the bizarre nature of what's going on has something to bounce off of. Boring is kind of the point. He's not meant to be wacky, at all.

Jinbe made plenty of plans in WCI, he's great at it, and also, he has a knack for rescuing the crew. He's plenty useful.

I see what you did there

Half the SH are already straightmen depending on the gag. Mostly Nami and Usopp. Jinbe is a worthless addition.

None are complete straight-men, though, which is the point of Jinbe. And nah he's saved and contributed to the crew countless times and will continue to do so, story would've ended in FI without him.

Would that disguise even work for Jinbe? He's a fishman with a very distinctive appearance and was once one of the Shichibukai.

Why was her death so comical?

He's
........*yawns*....... fucking...... BORING. He's literally just a mature fatherly guy. His character is 0.

This scene sucked. Jinbe and luffy were already friends. If jinbe just didn't exist FS would have been a better arc

FI*

I tried to hate him bros but I just couldn't, he's been there for the crew so much and gets along with them so well. I gotta agree with the rest of the Internet on this one.

yeah, same. of course Zig Forums would hate him, he's reddit: the fish.

What does that even mean?

Disgruntled carrotfags. Pay them no mind.
