He was right, he was Light.
He was right, he was Light

ah, the face of justice
>name is literally Right
>people still claim he's wrong
This is just sad.
daily reminder that Near is the best character in death note and it's not even close
I was rooting for him while watching it but I thought about it and if he existed in real life I would be opposed to him and try to catch him.
Based and gayautismpilled.
No, you would watch the news and shrug it off then go back to fapping.
He was Light. He was right. is the better phrase imo
Was getting killed part of your keikaku?
He was retarded and the morality of his actions was irrelevant which is why it barely comes up in the show beyond L having a reason to act.
I was always puzzled when I heard the unitiated watching this show and then praising it as one of the best things they have seen.
I watched it and can barely remember what it was about and thought it was actually quite boring.
I would shitpost about it on Zig Forums or something
You're retarded for watching nearly 40 episodes of something you didn't care about. You're even more retarded for spending spending that long on it and being unable to remember anything about it.
not really.
I just remember watching certain anime to appease my friends. They liked it so it was important that I like it too.
He's the most based Anime character that needs Villain to have plot armor to stop him.
I don't see why an author would ridiculize such a character at the very end. I'm sure he must have be told too because kids were copying him everywhere. Same for Vegeta. He can never win because China would say it's whitewashing his crimes and take him as an example.
>plot armor
we used to have a name for that sort of thing. we called it Destiny
He was wrong.
You really don't see why this prideful character who kept making mistakes due to his hubris and calling himself god all the time would be ridiculed at the end of it and shown to be a normal human, even a cowardly one?
He was also a little bitch too
This scene was highly satisfying
youtube.com
his breakdown was one of the most satisfying things I've ever seen in an anime
That's one thing, but him full on regressing into a scared child screaming how he doesn't want to die is going overboard to the point where it stops being cathartic unless you're some sort of uber edgelord.
god they fucked up with adapting the manga so bad
Literally the whole pint of that scene is make you realize Light is just deluded kid that lose his shit the moment things won't go his way
Also the manga end is a lot better than the anime end, because is heavily implied that Near chated at the end in order to win and Matsuda had his first non-retarded moment.
Light screaming he doesn't want to die is perfectly in character. Especially considering he initially thought he could convince Ryuk to turn things around for him.
>chated
*cheated
>HE GOES BY L... HIS REAL NAME A TOTAL MYSTERY
>OH WAIT HIS REAL NAME IS FUCKING "L"
Homer "Jay" Simpson tier
He was a frightened child though.
YOU CALL THAT SWIMMING?
this
I was a primary only and thought DN critics were retarded until I saw what an abomination the anime was
Everyone's IQ is reduced to like 10% and so many plot points are massively simplified
I never said it wasn't in character, just that I didn't feel any sense of catharsis from it happening even if he did have it coming to him.
