So whatever happened to Hinata's promise to Yoshika? Why does the mural of the Monument of the Fallen Legends depict Wakaba's generation without Chikage?
I'm not even sure why Chikage had to be erased in the first place with this setup. Hinata has supreme powering by bullshitting oracles.
I think it's just a matter of the timeline. It's mentioned that Hinata still had work hard and slowly to remove all the fractious elements in the Taisha. She wasn't completely omnipotent.
The scene where Hinata reveals that the Taisha had decided to erase Chikage from the records was shortly after the Fire Offering and before she found where Yoshika was hiding and made it known that she was intending to reverse the decision some time in the future. So it appears to be a temporary concession Hinata made that she was always intending to take back.
That doesn’t explain the mural though.
NoWaYu made it sound like a concession she had to make to get leadership, but the chapter barely focused on any of those outside the oracle stuff and immediately getting a lot of support, bar a few select holdouts. Doesn't sit right with me they glossed over something that big when they had the chance here and lying about oracles gets them such huge sway. I don't remember exactly when the timeline was set and things are a bit vague, but everything felt like it was well after the Fire Offering Ceremony. They were already in the Divine Era for a bit. I could've bought it before while leaving it off screen, but not really when they directly show and address some of the political manuvering.
We can only speculate. But it's clear that Hinata's reforms didn't last considering the state of the Taisha during Gin's and Fuu's generation, so even if she did reinstate Chikage's name, it wouldn't be surprising if one of her successors decided to purge it again.
I wonder if this could get 10 min duration like isekai quartet or strike witches shorts. 3 min is too short for that many characters
I can only imagine that she did reverse it, but the factions of the Taisha who disapproved of her leadership etc. reversed it back sometime after she died. There's really no reason for her to have let it stand during her lifetime based on what we saw in this chapter.
>So whatever happened to Hinata's promise to Yoshika
>Uesato-sama, how can we be sure your oracles are right?
someone has to do her Justice and draw her on a trone surrounded by the fucking priests on their knees or something similar
I blame Yoshika to be honest, if she didn't decide to keep Chikage's remains for herself and gave them back to the Taisha to be enshrined like all the other yuusha and miko, it would have made it that much harder for someone to come along later and erase her again.
It's not about the Taisha, it's about the public. TV makes her out to be a demon even before she dies, her funeral is cancelled, her family disappears, and the only people vouching for her not being a monster are the teenage girl with a big sword and her oracle receiving friends that have now usurped what remains of the government. Hinata calling for Chikage to be treated with the same respect as the other heroes would get kicked out by public pressure, not another Taisha faction.
There's a big difference between not venerating them like the other Heroes and actively trying to erase all records of their existence.

That's wrong though, Hinata is a woman prone to self-flagellate as confirmed in the latest UHiMi chapter, so she loves it when someone else takes her Wakaba away (temporarily of course).
reminder that Hinata is a cruel woman
I think the Taisha also wanted to preserve the image of the heroes being legendary beings almost above mere mortals, so having a hero who just lost it and started attacking people on the street hurts that image, so it's easier to just claim that she wasn't a true hero in the first place.
Wakaba hair down is a blessing
I can't believe Hinata got away with everything.
That preemptively killed previous thread
>It looked like she was hurting herself on purpose. As if she was punishing herself for the fact all other Heroes had died - that she couldn't protect her friends.
Wakaba had a hard life.
