Hard Work

Why do people act like hard work is an interesting theme in Shounen? It literally never is.
>look, the character worked hard and beat the strong guy
>now they'll work even HARDER
It's completely one note. I really don't get how people get upset about series like Naruto not being about hard work when Naruto tackles far more interesting ideas than "he punched harder because he trained for 30 chapters".

In Naruto's case they presumably get upset because early on Naruto breached about hard work being more important than lineage however was later revealed to be Ninja Jesus.
It just shows the author doesn't give a shit and writes whatever he's feeling at the moment.

why do people believe that naruto was about hard work when he always won his battles thanks to Kurama?

Naruto literally never said that though.
In the Neji fight he just said "Even a loser can beat a genius" and then used the Kyuubi to beat Neji, not 'the power of hard work'.
There is no real instance of Naruto working hard to gain power beyond the rasengan and rasenshuriken in the whole story.

people still fall for this yt meme i see

>early on Naruto breached about hard work being more important than lineage
considering gaara obliterates rock lee, the personification of hard work, i don't see it

except that was rock lee and rock lee has 0 wins naruto winned every figh because of the kyuubi so no it was never about hardwork

t. loser who has never worked hard for an accomplishment in his life

>hard work
Why did you post Naruto? He literally learned all his jutsu in a weak and is only able to do them because he is genetically and divinely gifted.

And before some fag say muh Rasengan. The only reason he had trouble was because they were using a piss poor method to make it which Naruto magically found a better bet god using his Shadow Clone hax that only he can do.

Everyone in Naruto works their asses off to get better EXCEPT Naruto.

In fact there is not a single fight Naruto won outside some nameless leaf jobber that did not require him getting bailed out by the Kyuubi to win.

Sasuke was fucking right!

I knew one of those retard savants in elementary school. Boy was he a bring down just knowing and doing shit without even trying. Teacher even didnt like him.

>phonefag
>misses the point
Naruto wasn't about hard work.
>Everyone in Naruto works their asses off to get better EXCEPT Naruto.
Factually incorrect.
Sasuke literally gets all of his power handed to him.
Sakura 'trained' completely offscreen. Same goes for every other side character and Naruto himself.
The only person who actively 'works hard' is Rock Lee.
Go back to youtube and jerk off to that Plague video again.

>using his Shadow Clone hax that only he can do.
Anyone can use Shadow Clones, retard. Mass Shadow Clones is the Naruto-exclusive thing and enables his unique fast training method that could kill him, but pays off exponentially when it does work.

Leave it to the retards to ruin an actually good greentext

Gee user, that sure is a Scooby Doo mystery. I wonder why the theme of "work hard and everything will be worth it in the end" would appeal to insecure teenagers who are being judged by their academic performance in a world they don't understand during a period in their life that's confusing and full of emotional turmoil...

This was never a thing for Naruto himself. He was always about muh nakama and power in unity and inspiring people.

In the Land of the Waves, what resolved the conflict? Naruto's words were able to reach Zabuza who was convinced to betray Gato and kill him. Even afterwards, Gato's men were armed and can cause trouble but Naruto's actions inspiring Inari enabled him to rally the entire town to chase those men out. Now those men would think twice before attacking Inari's people after this story arc because they've grown a massive pair of balls and now are proven willing to fight back. This wasn't hard work that solved the problem. It was individual cases of Talk no Jutsu and inspiring little kids leading to a domino effect of motivated adults who altogether team up to solve the problem. It's a combination of inspiring others and becoming strong through unity. It's present elsewhere too. Hinata was inspired by Naruto's ability to never give up and fell for him, becoming one of his greatest supporters. Konohamaru is another Konoha Shinobi whom Naruto inspired and went from prankster spoiled village leader's grandkid to a Rasengan slinger who could take down a Pain path and later trained his son. Shadow Clones are the epitome of doing more as a group than a single person can. Naruto was always muh friendship inspiring people and uniting to achieve greater goals than what can be done alone. This was all before that Six Sages' son Asura who was explicitly said to have gotten success through the help of others.

t. entitled zoomer

>Why do people want to see characters achieve success through blood, sweat, and tears instead of characters achieving success by typing in a cheat code

Retard.
Based and actually understands Naruto.

what far more interesting ideas does naruto tackle?

this

Because that's not fucking interesting.
Look at any manga, the hard work bit is always the least interesting part.
>bonds / human connections
>what does it mean to be a shinobi
>learning to endure
>resolving conflict through words and letting go of hatred

Nardo didn't even work hard in the end, was just muh spirit ancestor.

Lee was someone who actually worked hard, but judging from that he only was a Chuunin and Neji a Jonin, he never was able to defeat Neji, so that went nowhere.

That's because Lee's a jobber, always has been. Has literally never won a single fight, but people keep jerking him off because porn man made a 40 minute video.

>getting buttmad over Naruto
>getting buttmad about pic unrelated
You need to go back.

>You need to go back
>doesn't know how to post pictures

It's cheap because hard work in fiction is so phony. IRL that shit hurts, you suffer, it's boring, etc. In a comic it's a 3 chapter arc, in a movie it's a montage set to music, etc. The reader just can't take it seriously, even if IRL we know it matters a lot.

>what resolves the Land of Waves
Pretty sure it was Kakashi stabbing a trap in the heart.

I am doing the best I can damnit! Blame Moot for allowing phone posting in the first place!

OH MY BLOODLINE

Funnily enough, Naruto is like the sole character that shit doesn't apply to.
He literally got nothing from his parents beyond looks.
>Sasuke, Obito, Itachi, Madara all got Uchiha hax and later Senju hax
>Tsunade, Hashirama, Tobirama and Yamato got Senju hax
>Kakashi was a Jounin at like age 12 because he's White Fang's son, and got Uchiha hax + ghost Uchiha hax
>Ino, Shikamaru, Choji, Neji, Hinata, Kiba and Shino all get shit passed down to them or bloodline stuff
>Nagato literally got eye hax forced onto him
>Rock Lee is naturally talented with opening the gates (and you need talent to open them)
The only thing Naruto had was a giant monster literally trying to kill him.

>giant monster that gives him inhuman stamina and allows him to spam the most broken jutsu in the series

Attached: 1583898016814.jpg (165x376, 10.6K)

Because IT IS an interesting theme. This is why one of the most impressive characters early on was Rock Lee.

>removes his rationality, destroys his body and continually shittalks him and manipulates him into essentially killing himself

>Phoneposting
>FUCKS UP at phoneposting, at that
>On a fucking iphone
>And tries to tell others to 'go back'
YOU go back, retard.

Rock Lee wasn't impressive because of hard work, he was impressive because he beat up Sasuke and managed to damage Gaara after he got hyped up.
If Rock Lee was the main character and the story was about hard work, it'd bomb and nobody would read it.

No I’ve been here to long.

No it only matters when the mangaka sets that up as some virtue and then completely shits on it. You don't see One Piece or Dragon Ballz spitting out this sort of bullshit, its just get strong or get your ass beat.

>Rock Lee is naturally talented with opening the gates (and you need talent to open them)
Imagine being this fucking stupid

Except beyond Rock Lee, hard work isn't fucking focused on. There's two whole training arcs in the 700 chapter manga, and one of them is fucking undercut.
And yes, Rock Lee is talented with opening the gates, go back to the Chuunin Exams, that's why Gai taught him how to do it.

>working hard to gain power beyond the rasengan and rasenshuriken
the rasengan wasn't even hardwork, he didn't learn to do it properly (with a single hand) until shippuden, he could only do it with a clone for a long time
And the rasen shuriken was also thanks to kurama's chakra, if any the only time he actually worked hard and accomplished something on his own was when he mastered sage mode, even when he tamed kurama he did it with kuramas power lmao

>most broken jutsu in the series
The most broken aspect of shadow clones is the affinity for gaining training experience. The sharingan gives you an out to all three types of jutsu.
