Hi anons, I'd like to present one of the painfully-overlooked-in-the-west classics from the golden age of Weekly Jump.
My scanlation skills aren't the best, but hopefully you can live with my shitty typesetting.

Yes, I know these pages don't line up all that well. Sorry. The raws are what they are.
This guy will be renamed "Jaba Jabao" in a couple chapters, but this was his original name, not a typo.
How old is that girl supposed to be? What’s wrong with her head?
They're in 5th grade at this point.
Mommy!
Not to knock the work you put in but this page is a perfect example of why most people put sfx translations in the margins
She gets some great chapters later. She was also voiced by Hiromi Tsuru in the anime.
I'll consider it for later chapters. That's the kind of comments I wanted, actually.
And that's the somewhat underwhelming end of chapter 1. The manga takes a couple chapters to really find its style, and this first one feels weirdly out of place.
Uploaded it to mangadex as well.

But yeah, typesetting and the like is really not my forte, so comments and suggestions on what I really fucked up and should do differently are very welcome.
Hope you enjoyed the dump though.
Thanks for dumping user. Consider updating MangaUpdates as well if you plan to go the long haul.
>21 volumes in 4 years
How in the actual fuck?
here IS THE OP youtube.com
Thanks looks comfy
I liked it. Nice job.
>How in the actual fuck?
It's a Weekly Jump manga, so 1 20 page chapter a week for 200+ weeks. Sounds about right.
HERE is the ending youtube.com
Boy this artstyle is rough. Still, an interesting read so far, thanks OP.
This first chapter isn't super representative of the series. It makes it come across as a wish fulfillment manga for 6 year olds,, yet it very quickly turns into something more like Dr. Slump meets Ranma.
>It makes it come across as a wish fulfillment manga for 6 year olds
What?
I've been waiting at least 10 years for this to happen. Thanks for stepping up.
You planning to do more or got any help? The translation is fine but there's a bit to be improved in the typesetting, specially when it comes to SFX.
Also, what raws did you use? I was a bit confused by the page numbering at start
I can't believe they pulled that off with cels. That's beautiful.
look at all that soul
The early chapters look really bizarre. Especially Honmaru is barely even recognizable. The designs in the anime OP are much more representative of what the art style will eventually look like.
If someone's willing to help with typesetting, I'd absolutely accept it. I'm not good at it, and it's not fun work in the slightest.
>Also, what raws did you use? I was a bit confused by the page numbering at start
They're some old pubraws I downloaded off a Japanese site some years ago. The high page numbering is just because the first volume starts with the pilot oneshot, which I skipped for now, I was planning on doing it after completing the rest of vol 1. It's not really how people should be introduced to the series.
Smart boy.
>kid gets bullied at school
>randomly gets a magic friend that beats up the bully for him
I can see what he means
