I was always considered "bright" in school
almost skipped a class but parents were against it
never studied for tests, skated through school and university
IQ probably somehwere between 125-128
but so fucking what?
now Im in a competitive field and I have to work just as hard as anybody else to be successful
nobody has ever cared about me being smart in the real world?
all they care about is competence and experience
so when we consider that intelligence brings massive drawbacks (lots of smart people are unhappy, struggle with mental health, feel disconnected, etc.)...
what is even the point of intelligence?
is it all a meme?

It's a good tool to have but it's useless if you don't have either high conscientiousness or high creativity.
Also intelligent people usually have a shitty instinct so you need to learn to use your reasoning to compensate for that, if not normies and even imbeciles will end put better off than you just by using their guts.

Don't overestimate numbers, iq is an imperfect system for measuring intelligence even if it's the best we've got. Your iq might be worthy of 135, of of 115.

I guess what Im asking is are there notable benefits when you are REALLY smart? like 130+ I guess

If you are doing a job fit for your intelligence of course you have to work as hard as everybody, because everyone doing your job is just as smart as you.

It has a lot to do with intuition vs sensing, which is based on how your mind functions, asians tend to be more sensing as human calculators, but often lack the intuitive sense of inventing.

There is none unless you use it. Your are not special jsut because you think you are more intelligent than other people. The point of it is what you use it for. Maybe try doing something that requires actual intelligence and then ask the same question to yourself. Just like strength and endurance will not matter if you don't use it for anything else apart from going to the gym (some people think you will be more attracted to you just because you have a muscular body lol), that way it can be seen pointless as well. You must apply in order to thee the point of having/doing anything. Just like a hammer is useless in a world without nails.

Apart for that there's some lecture of Jordan Peterson on intelligence and basically being intelligent means that you learn faster and that you can do some jobs that dumber people can't.

Frankly high intelligence can't be THAT powerful, and it must always come with a handicap, if not evolution would have selected everyone to be 150+

i dont do a lot of dumb shit my friends do. like blow all theirm oney on stupid things, get fat from shitty foods, destroy their health with drugs etc.

add it all up and there just dont seem to be too many benefits of being "intelligent" in my personal experience

Neuroticism is not related to intelligence, lots of dumb people are very unhappy because of it too, lots of smart people are low in neuroticism.
The catch is that if you're low in neuroticism finding motivation to do things is harder, so there is the risk of becoming a neet for life without realising it.

As for what you can do when you are smart, from the top of my mind there's investing. Normies and dumb people don't do it and when they do they lose all of their money.
Lifting for looks is also very high iq, you just need to realise first how useful to look as good as you can and this simple knowledge will give you motivation. Dumb lifters usually lift badly and stop after a few months, their are dumb gymrats but they don't know how to stop so they get injuries and often ruin their hormone producing capacities by taking drugs. A smart lifter will do much better than most normies and retards.
