Now that the dust has settled... was this scene the most important scene in all of history?
The Dreaded Toothbrush Scene
It is the best scene in anime history and anyone who disagrees just needs to admit that theyre afraid
>doesn't fuck his sister despite it
No, faggot.
That would be way too on the nose my friend. You see they chose the highest IQ and most noble way around it.
I was watching the mono series for the first time and when I got to nise I really couldn't stand the whole thing. Long story short, by the time I got to this episode, I was watching it on a plane. I skipped the whole scene and haven't ever actuall watched it because of the plane incident but I don't think anyone saw. It was on my phone after all.
no but monogatari is one of the shittiest series in all of history.
Blame Tsukihi.
Yeah it's a massive waste of time desu. The movies were great but the series is garbage. I don't get why people on Zig Forums think so highly of it, must be the vampire loli
why?
Not to our tastes. Pretty weird, pacing feels weird and it isn't super enjoyable as it goes on. It starts off great and the movies are great but as the series drags on it gets super muddy and boring as hell. It's the same shit the whole way through, it's all "different in the same way". Also it's downright cringe and creepy at some moments. I get its media and I don't mind a little bit of pushing the boundaries but damn it really does some creepy shit. I get shinobu is supposed to be some ancient vampire nigga but a young body doesn't sit well with me, it is pretty disturbing.
The different chapters would get incredibly boring, especially nekomono and nisemono. It's some dumb issue, like a businessman selling curses to schoolkids that doesn't fully get resolved in the end. And back to the pacing, it's super weird. There are shows that play with pacing very effectively but this show just seems to be a brainless neet test. You sit there at times and watch characters discuss the most random bullshit that literally nobody cares about for 14 minutes straight. It has the Lucky Star issue where they talk about how to eat a fucking cake and there is no payoff. You sit there watching characters blab and blab and you think the writer just fell asleep.
Also the ending area is pretty lame. It makes you wonder what the fuck you actually watched the whole show for, what the journey was for if it sort of just kinda goes on in the same way it always has. It's the kind of show you watch for those great intros and that's it.
On the other hand, the atmosphere and the way they switch up their storytelling is really good. And the animation can be eyecandy at times.
I teach college and I was talking with some of my students about this specific scene because they were as weeb as I am. It is very well known, one of the students I was talking to was a foreign exchange student
So how did this translate in the Light Novel?
Is it as sexy?
or did Shaft just envision Nisio's fetish and depict it in such a way that we all have a toothbrushing fetish now? Because bravo, if that's the case.

You do not belong here.
It’s more sexy because imagination. Shaft added goofy music instead of sexy ones and were too liberal with animation instead of just having him sensually brush her teeth.
From personal experience, 2 years don't really help much.
>Not to our tastes.
>Our
>Tastes
First of all, it's only you with the shit taste. Second, saying the vampire loli is "creepy" and "disturbing" just outs you as either a normie or a plebbitor. Third, I like how you say "the start is great" when the first arcs of the characters are objectively the worse, while the later seasons expands so much on their personalities.
Lastly, even through the blabbery and the wordplay, the novels touch a lot of interesting topics. Neko has a huge dilemma about finding your identity, Nise focuses on the concept of replacements to one's relationships. Hachikuji's arc takes on loss, departure and saying goodbye. Sengoku's arc at the end of 2nd Season goes on about trying to save one self instead of waiting for someone to reach their hand to you, and following your passions. Hana deals with guilt, remorse and letting go. Sodachi's arc talks about self-hate and hating others. The end of Owari and Zoku is all about leaving your comfort zone and getting to know the other side of things and people.
There's so much more to this series than "muh pedo jokes" and "actkchually 298 is actually hachi-ku-ji backwards", and it's incredible how many people get filtered by it.
user, you didn't post a webm or even a gif? What the fuck?
On a side note, has anyone tried brushing someone else's teeth? How did it go? I'd post the screencap of an incest-user brushing his sister's teeth, but I don't have it anymore.
>people hate the series but like the movies
I don't understand, I liked the first few seasons but thought the movies were crap.
>cringe and creepy
>lolis are disturbing
Ah, now I understand. Fuck off.
>has anyone tried brushing someone else's teeth?
I tried to become OHB n°2 back in the days, but my imouto didn't get aroused like in the anime. I did bang my cousin several times so I don't know if that counts. I mean, she's still BR
>BR
brasilian?
I've always enjoyed the feeling of getting my teeth cleaned at the dentist, but not to a sexual level. I wonder if it'd be different if they're pressing up against you from behind and brushing. If I ever get a gf I'll try it when I feel confident enough.
Just think how many imoutos got their teeth brushed by their onii-chans thanks to this scene. Nisio is a god.
It doesn't happen later either.
Can't wait for Waza adaptation where Nisio makes a convincing argument that cannibalism is the purest form of love.
No
>298 is actually hachi-ku-ji backwards
what does this mean
Also asking for a friend
It was absolutely one of the most glorious scenes of the past decade. But I prefer Marked-Two's ending over the original.
