The plot and conspiracy were great.

Pretty predictable. The only thing that made the show shine are the self-contained episodes where they spoof mecha culture, otaku etc.

Just rewatched GunXSword recently. What a fucking great show, the closest thing to a true Wild Arms anime. Also a stellar dub, with Van's VA really being a consistent show stealer.

I liked it but the ending felt pretty weak. I guess it doesn't really matter though since it was basically just a goofy buddy cop low stakes slice of life show.
