Pacing and format was something I really loved about Violet Evergarden and which I hardly ever hear anyone discuss. The incorporation of a timeskip during the episode with the mother and the daughter was genius. It was so fulfilling to watch at the end, like an entire season's worth of gratification in a single moment.

That would be nice. Initially in episode 3, you see Violet making the same mistake here that did in episode 2. That is trying to write her letter as a report. She learned to paraphrase and to get peoples points across, not to dictate they say to her. A simple I love you was all it took to convey Luculia's appreciation to her brother.
