Supporting a Family

Why is it that back then a man could support an entire family on a single wage? And now, both the woman and man have to work to scrape by?

Because:

You have 3 flat TV's.
You have 2 cars.
You just have to have ur 2 normie vacations to thailand/greece each year so you can post your instagram pics.
You eat out several times a week.
House prices have soared meaning you have a debt to pay off.
Student debt to pay off.
All crazy gadgets you must have as a consoomer, smart phone, smart watch, high tech stove high tech microwave etc etc.

Multiple reasons:
1. Our currency has been destroyed by decoupling from the dollar
2. The gov is lying to you about inflation. Go to shadow stats to see the real numbers
3. people used to buy houses cash or with minimal loans. The 30 year mortgage is a somewhat recent creation. This has pumped massive amounts of money into the real estate market inflating real estate values
4. To keep up, families moved to dual income households. However this had multiple negative effects. It pumped even more money into real estate as there was greater disposable income creating increase demand. It also depresses wage growth as this increased the labor supply allowing companies to depress wages

women entering the workplace means out jobs pay half

This was an absolute major contributor. Diluted the value of labor by half requiring both people work in order to bring home the same. Couple that with currency debasement and increases in productivity accumulating at the top and it's a recipe for disaster.

inflation was/is rampant, wages stagnated

A perfect post for you OP.

It's not like that. I have 30k in student loan debt. I make just over 50k before taxes. My wife stays home and takes care of our son. Life is about priorities, and the generation I grew up with is a bunch of whiney babies.

This is most likely the root cause. But I think OP is asking about policies and events, which cemented the current socio economic depression we are in.

Nice NPC post.

> student loan debt
> only making 50k

Why tho?

To clarify point 1, decoupling the dollar from gold

Loss of the gold standard.

I'm lazy.

Women in the workforce depress wages in a massive way
Massive immigration depress wages in a massive way

In short: getting away from the white male patriarchal hierarchy has destroyed the west in general, and the economy specifically.

absolute bullshit
most of those cumsoomers things you listed have deflate so hard in price, buying them or not do not impact your bottomline
wage stagnation and real estate inflation are the main culprits with second causes to the healthcare and education fees

back in the 60's a color tv could cost you half a car and going on vacation to greece was something only moviestars did (wealthy industrials also did it, but commoners never heard about that)
nowadays most onsumer electronics are dirt cheap while taking the flying bus is cheaper than most railtravel

People don't like to hear this but it's true. It's the root cause for most of the problems we have in the USA today. Wage slaving, to liberalism, to the destruction of the nuclear family... all caused by this.

Back then the jews hadn't taken over our civilization user

You mean back when corporate tax rates were 50% and the 1% were taxed 90%?

Letting women vote was the first mistake.

>he believes people actually paid these rates
>he doesn't know about the tax shelters available back then

want to know how I know you're a boomer?

because women work no, so less jobs available

That's where it all started going downhill.

Yeah, but now women are free to be miserable making power points 9-5 instead of the awful life of raising happy children.

Industrialization without overpopulation. A war had just ended.

lmao most zoomers don't even own a tv anymore, also they are like 300€ with tax and 350€ in 4k.
I can buy two tv's every month, and i would be at the normie renter expenditure

also all consoomer goods are deflating, the only thing that drives inflation are rent, energy and food

you're right about student loans

unironically women in the workplace.

i.e. dual-income families lowered the price of labor basically by half.

Hmm, I wonder why...

There is a reason Dante put usury and sodomy in the same circle of Hell.
