Honorable Mention: Kotora-san
ITT: Series that tanked right after a superb first arc/season/episode/etc
Prison school
Infinite stratos
Nisekoi
i dropped it the moment the manga explained that the demons always existed in their world. absolutely retarded, the mangaka need kishimoto level editors to stop shit decisions
probably Shuumatsu no Valkyrie
Ah shit I just started reading it last night but finished it after Lu Bu vs Thor. What happens?
Things just doesn't hype up like the earlier fights.
Good old classsic Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi
>Infinite stratos
Ugh, did you have to remind me this existed?
Don't get me wrong, the final fight was fucking bonkers but I didn't like how the second half ended up being looking back.
to me the fact that the souls and valkyries who lose are lost forever and deleted from existence left a bitter aftertaste
>I can't take stakes
read shounenshit then.
HeroAca started strong
Golden boy.
You could see the manga peaking with All Might vs AfO
Naruto.
Plastic memories, first episode had me in tears but it took a steep drop off from there, dropped it by episode 4
That is a fucking shame. I really enjoyed it.
machikado.
the anime made me pick up the manga and it really goes downhill after momo unlocks her dark powers.
When did it go to shit? Mashima is on record as saying he didn't have an overall plan, winged it week by week and that it went on for way too long, but there was definitely a point where it was popular
Zankyou no Terror first few episodes was amazing but then... not so much
on the other side we have Granbelm where the first few episodes where in my opinion embarrassing to watch but after ep 2-3 it gets better
The Behemoth fight in Air Gear ruined everything and went completely against the earlier themes of the manga just so that Oh Great could turn it into a battle shonen
Code Geass
most battle shonens
>what is one piece
Vinland saga when it becomes farmland saga
That was shit since the beginning.
I dislike post time skip quite a bit
Death Note
any shonen that isn't hunter or kny
The main demographic for OP is kids and teenagers, the bar isn't too high for them.
The first episode and the mama flashbacks were the only good parts. Everything else was just the kids sitting around and talking. Looking back, I'm surprised that I didn't drop it.
Didnt tank until the last two arcs
They DO outgrow it but new readers keep popping up.
For example my 13 yo cousin got into it recently and the manga almost doubles his age.
Not a fan of One Piece but it's kinda neat to know kids will be finding their first series to grow with and eventually shitpost on Zig Forums about.
