Guys I fucked up and wanted to reverse my position on SPY (bought 2 puts before the drop after the first bear flag today) but didnt have any day trades left so I bought 3 calls. I now realize that was a bad decision as I now effectively have 2 strangles and a call on SPY which exposes me to some serious theta decay (exp 7/24 on all). Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should do with them?
you shouldn't trade options without day trades, really. be prepared to find a new platform if necessary, losing your preferred platform for 3 months is better than losing all your money.

If oil prices go up more, more oil becomes viable for drilling, and if they expand production the stock prices go up because they're drilling more in spite of oil becoming cheaper.

just follow your rule next time, and remember losing your platform is better than losing all your money. if you violate the PDT restriction, you will still be able to exit all of your remaining positions, you just won't be able to buy without changing platforms.
