This manga had so much potential to be good but unfortunately the writer being a woman unironically hampers it by a lot because she actually has no fucking idea how to write men or male competition and it shows. the characters all feel like fucking women in male shells and it's super fucking offputting

I was joking, i used to follow the manga but kinda forgot about it when i caught up on scans some time ago.

I don't think that's entirely right, the MC is pretty based and his bros staying his bros is unironically the best part, but it's definitely hampered by fujo undertones. It's a serious enough tone that I'd rather she just make the MC gay and get it over with rather than fujo-baiting with the Ryuji character arc.
