It's not always wrong, but in MHA is since is a story about Deku growing as a person. Also it's even worse since characters keeps pretending he changed a lot (just like with bakugo).

Well Tanjiro's special gimmick stopped with um6, you can at least see he's changed a bit.

Deku is just an incredibly unrealistic character that’s meant to be a self insert Gary Stu but fails even at that simple task. If you’re going to make a bullied kid self insert, at least turn him into a CHAD over time as he gets stronger but no, he’s still a cuck. The whole reason bullied kids are such cucks is because they’re weak, that’s why they love self inserting into power fantasies. Deku however doesn’t work as a power/revenge fantasy because once he gets his Quirk he just kisses ass and never tries to take control of his life or beat the shit out of Bakugo (bullied kids who become strong and learn how to fight don’t lick ass you retard, some of them will even fuck up their former bully/ies). Hori is a complete hack.
