I don't have any friend to talk with about this, so bear with me Zig Forums
I basically binged the whole 89 chapters in one sitting yesterday and now I'm so torn, Phos has become an Antichrist, her crewmates became self-centered idiots. But at the same time, Cinnabar chose the machine's side, and they are unwillingly helping themselves in eradicating the lunarians, which is dumb. I'm on Phos' side but I was hoping for her to help Cinnabar since the beginning, and now everything's out of the window. This fucking sucks
so what are your thoughts on the manga as it stands today, Zig Forums ?
I stopped following this after the hobo moon guy appeared what did I miss?
Nolan Adams
basically he told phos about what sensei is, a machine to relieve the spirits of the humans (lunarians) from their existence, except sensei broke, and so the lunarians were trying to make him pay attention to them ever since
and then phos got captured in an attempt to knock some sense into sensei, and ended up going mad in the meantime, she got revived by sensei, and almost got him to pray, but was damaged by the other gems on his side.
the last few chapter had her having a large invasion of the school, and the hobo moon guy (the prince I assume ?) is going to make contact with sensei

I wonder what Phos' final form will look like.
Ryan Cox
damn poor phos. this manga is mental torture porn at this point thanks for the tldr
Michael Rivera
Like a real human girl.

Phos frogot a bit of her promise to Cinnabar with each piece of her body she lost Cinnabar is too autistic to tell Phos she wants to be alone with him endgame will probably be the two of them alone in some way, maybe as an alloy
Instrumentality almost happened but was stopped at the last second, 3rd impact is about to happen
Kevin Ramirez
>Cinnabar is too autistic to tell Phos she wants to be alone with him Excuse me? Is that your own headcannon or something.
Dominic Sanchez
yeah cinnabar is a coward, but at the same time I feel her, it sucks that she felt entitled to "but I've been lonely u don't know what it is like !!!!11" when phos had always been hated by her peers
essentially if she even tried to get her point to phos (since she wanted to help her), this wouldn't have happened
William Parker
that came back to bite my ass, will never do ever again

The manga does several unique things including the moral ambiguity you speak of. The extreme to which this is taken makes it more psychologically realistic than any other fiction I can think of. At the moment I take it as a feels drug and philosophical food for thought.
Totally forgot that page. So she didn't like that the others would be coming too because she wants to be special to phossu? I guess she would think this isn't phos finally helping her and more of a >You can tag along with us
Eli Nguyen
legit, but god damn, binging the thing turned my head upside down, I felt terribly bad since the dilemna hits so damn close to reality, it's definitely something I enjoyed reading, but I can tell my morality was in shambles after
I look forward to the future this series hold, at the moment though, I just want an happy ending, I know it won't happen, but this would be what would appease me.

Since you're caught up you should read some of the deep lore (imgur.com/a/3fVKI1A), there's lots of foreshadowing and plot relevant symbolism, even stuff like Phos turning human where predicted long before they happened
Luke Taylor
Episode 8 sent me into a stupor when I saw the anime a few years ago. Waiting for S2 wasn't worth it and now reading the manga is still having these effects.
Phos was never hated. They were more like a kind of annoying little sibling to the gems they were closest to. Morga picked fights with them all the time, but it was a lot of playful ribbing. Rutile was one of the few that got to regularly talk to Phos too. Nobody truly started turning against Phos until the Moon incident
Dylan Perry
I'd really like to read Buddhanon rants on the Achmea/Enma revelation
Austin Collins
They weren't as mean to Phos in the anime. Have you read the first chapters of the manga?
fuck, I haven't got the tism yet, but I thought there was a panel where Phos was remembering all the things the other gems said to him ? Sure, this comes from Phos himself, but I feel like this would be what was perceived by her ? not a hatred, but more of the kind of "well you're useless so why should I care about you" or whatever, which is loneliness on its own in my opinion
Anthony Gutierrez
also, unrelated, but what happened to Lapis Lazuli finding out on his own the solution to all of Phos' problem before going to the moon ?
or wait, am I retarded and was it indeed going to the moon ... ?

All the symbolism is properly used so it leads to that sort of analysis, like Sensei not being able to pray properly after a desire was born within him matches Buddhist ideas of enlightenment being achieved only after freeing oneself from desire
