I don't think there's anything wrong with apus and pepes on other boards, they at least make some OC now and again. As long as they're not the exact same "Really?" pepe face done ten trillion times as an OP, which is obviously done by newer users because it gets old after 5-10 years of the same memes.

Actually i started watching alot of old cinema,that includes Hollywood classics from the golden age and also very niche films.Honstly after i gained such a wider perspective of the cinematographic medium i just realized just how trashy,cheap,formulaic and shallow 99% of animes are.
And the few 1% that get praised as masterpieces actually borrow heavily from western cinema.
Hell ther eason anime is so popular in japan is because their cinematografy is dead.
