What the actual fuck??? why do they all get the same reward?? the fuck did Ouhon do that even remotely compares to Shin's achievements?

I’m at chapter 299 and fuck is this manga good.

>the fuck did Ouhon do
His dad wins the war.

It gets pretty damn formulaic at times (we also pretty much know who's gonna win from the get-go) but I agree with you. the series has a certain charm unique to itself that really sets it apart from other works. plus, it's got best boy kanki

Ouhon was actually overdue his promotion. They wanted to promote him to general after he came up with the plan in the Wei arc but Tou personally blocked it because he wanted him to spend more time as a 5000 man commander. He might not have matched Shin's accomplishments in this war but he was already ahead of him.

> same reward

Why they wouldn't ?

I feel like Shins still too retarded to be a general.
Like every time they discussed even the most basic plans and logistics in the last campaign it all went straight over his head.

They fought on equals on the same wing of the battle but Ouhon killed one general whereas Shin killed three, one of them being basically the national boogeyman to Qin

He just use fucking asspull and bullshit instinctual for every win . Meanwhile the both of rest isn't

He is shitty writing protagonist

It Literally chink luffy . No actually development

I'm replied like this in reddit /kingdom and get 100 downvoted

Ten has become a wall to his development.

Then Explain instinctual

Happens one time, and then its back to the status quo. Shin hit, Ten think

I mean, if it works it works. Duke Hyou probably knew jack shit about strategy, but look where he got. Experience (especially experience as a General) coupled with Shin's instinctual type can take him far even if he's not well-versed in tactics. Plus, there's the ridiculous amount of morale he can squeeze out of his men.

it shows

True but it’s not like he can do shit on his own anyway.

See the issue isn't him being bad at fighting a battle.
The thing is generals in their setting is more complex than that.

Like hes now in charge of multiple squads of 5k man leaders.
He has to manage and position them on the battlefield.
He needs to actively picks battles and where to fight.
Supply management and a dozen other important things as well.

Hes very very good at leading people from the front but everything outside of battles he hasn't shown off that he can do it.

A leaders only as competent as his support group. That means he's really strong because theyre good at that kind of job. It'll be interesting to see how he over comes all of them dying in Chu

See, but he's got Ten to cover the logistics for him. He doesn't need to be good at everything, just at inspiring his men, making the right calls in battle, and killing people. We've seen a top-tier functioning similarly to this in Gai Mou of the Wei Fire Dragons. He was good at hitting things, but his subordinate Jun Sou handled all the complicated stuff.

>the fuck did Ouhon do that even remotely compares to Shin's achievements?
He was one rank above Shin before campaign started.

We just needed a battle where he shows some initiative in troop movement on a battlefield.
Every time its "stand in one place and fight" or "advance forward until you beat the enemy general"

Like what Mou Ten did in the last battle.

Will Shin get rekd hard like in history?

I imagine Moubu is also kind of like this. Have strategists do all the other stuff and just focus on tactics/morale when you're actually there for the battle.

I represent humanity

Redditfag AND a ESL lmao

To be fair to Shin which generals have actually been shown to be good at everything? I think Renpa is the best of everyone alive. The dude from Wei said that Tou is the only Qin general that can be said to have no weakness since he does it all. Yotanwa probably fits in there as well. Of the younger generation Ouhon is probably the best since he's probably a bit behind Mouten in intelligence and a bit behind Shin in strength.

Ouki was legit good at literally everything. Could lead from the front or the back, had both instinct and logic and was an absolute monster in battle. I think Shin will never really reach him in overall abilities.

And he fucking jobbed to the same guy who was supposed to be afraid of him.

We know, Houken

Nepotism. The other two are from noble families while Shin is a literally who, but Shin is now more famous among the people and fellow generals for taking out HOWEVERken.

If we get there, it will be another 20 years or something

I mean ... virtually no other manga goes this in-depth with large-scale warfare. Only a few like Historie even come close but even then their focus is nowhere near as much on actual battles. Troop formations, tactics, morale, logistics, strategy ... they’re usually only ever mentioned as an aside in other manga and barely ever elaborated on.

I am very happy you are dead

I don't think you know what "jobbing" means. He would have won if he didn't get an arrow on his back at a crucial moment and even then he overpowered Houken with one hand for a few moments. Ouki's death was necessary from a narrative perspective, it was actually fucking perfectly executed. Downplaying his accomplishments and qualities is just stupid.
