What ending do you see happening? I think no matter what everyone says, its unclear and could go anyway. Things have been set up for an avengers victory and peace ending, but also for a genocide ending.
I'm more inclined to believe the titan who has been guiding its holders for close to 2000 years to eventually start the rumbling and free Ymir from her bonds (who is also implied to have been guiding them to it all that time), will end up winning.
But at this point, I expect it to go either way. Hell, even the Helos ending is a possibility.

Depends on where you ask, I think. To me it left me a bit numb about the alliance, I think I'm ready to see them die.
They killed so many people just fighting for their homes and families, for what? to talk to Eren? With no plan or alternative, favoring the people who just recently tried to killed everyone on Paradis, yet again.
People who only turned to them when they had their backs against the wall. People who, if they had their way, would have killed everyone on Paradis as a scapegoat for the whole they dug themselves in?
But instead, everyone was crying about the cringe moment with Magath and Shadis... Really made me feel disconnected with a big part of the fandom, that so many were not fazed by how they massacred their compatriots.

I thought we might have possibly gotten a peace ending but Magath's death makes that more doubtful. Not sure which way the story's going to go now.

For me it's Jean providing "covering" fire against retreating enemies who were former comrades, as well as only one alliance character dying. It feels like the only reason Isayama uncucked Shadis was so he could have a second person die at the harbor.
There's also the fact that only shifters with recovery abilities are ever injured. It's understandable for the alliance not to be killed by redshirts, but there's only so much a person can take before disbelief can no longer be suspended. At least injure someone who can't just heal it back up in an hour. The stakes honestly feel non-existent until they reach Eren.
