Your Name is a perfectly crafted narrative in terms of character growth and story reveals.
WwY has some pretty serious problems. The beginning is very clunky, especially his early interactions with the shady club and finding the gun. Then later, everything involving the detective just drags the movie down instead of providing a compelling obstacle for the characters (like Mitsuha's dad was).
Overall, the highs weren't as high as YN and it has some really awkward lows, leading to lesser film overall.
