Find a YouTube video “how to buy crypto on Coinbase” it’s not a hard process. It most certainly is not too late to buy LINK. As for hardware wallet, hold off on that until you understand more how crypto operates, but yes eventually you should get a ledger Nano S

Get a coinbase and binance account. Coinbase lets you put your cash directly in but doesn’t have that many coins, binance has a lot more coins but only has trading pairs, you can’t buy directly with cash

Just transfer money into coinbase pro. Luckily coinbase pro has LiNK as one of their few coins so you don’t have to deal with binance at all. Just put $ into CBP then when it arrives, buy LiNk

-Should I get a physical wallet?

If you want to. It’s more secure but you also won’t be able to trade quickly if a major dump happens. Unless you have an insane amount of money in crypto, just keep it on the exchange I’d say
