So he just likes torturing cripples now?
So he just likes torturing cripples now?
Don't worry, he will job to sumo
People in the underground fight matches all the time when they're wounded. see maximum tournament for example. the whole point of ali getting dabbed on is to show the fact that he's not ready to step into their world.
also keep in mind doppo is like fucking 55 and missing an eye.
does blocking fists with your forehead actually work? seems like an easy way to get concussed
Based.
personally I loved that shibukawa fight rematch. you could really tell when he was actually serious he was just toying with ali. doppo kind of still feels weird like you're not sure if doppo could have beat him or not normally
It's good way to damage the other guys fist, I remember reading about how some boxers would present the top of their skull when sliding in in previous generations of boxers because it is a very unappealing target.
Yes. It'a the punches to the right or left sides of your head or temples that's gonna fuck you up
jacks fight and the rematches were pretty kino.
Man Ali Jr. Arc was a mess. It went into unintentional comedy, with how much the bloke was humiliated and destroyed.
Also, please tell me that the last episode was just promotion for the side story, and that they wont waste out time with convicts arc part 2? Next season is back to basics right? Also, how many episodes are needed to adapt the three big arcs (Prison/pickle/Yujiro)? Will 26 eps do, or do we need more?
This isn't mma, where you stop at maiming each other.
A win's a win no matter how you get it. Ali Jr wouldn't have been in this situation too if he wasn't so cocky and arrogant.
Your forehead is one of the toughest parts of your body. They were fighting bare-handed, so it was a great tactic. Obviously, it's not something you can always rely on and it would be a pretty bad idea using that type of defense against someone that is wearing gloves and bandages (I'm looking at you Ippo).
I'm hoping they just do the prison arc next. as much as I would love to see some anime original convicts stuff I would much rather see son of ogre get adapted finally
That's small stuff for a real fighter.
shit I forgot about that. did jack punch the same arm he bit? I remember baki fucking up jacks arm too by breaking it over his shoulder.
its funny how ali complains about not being able to fight in the best condition.and readers complain too. meanwhile fucking jack hanma gets beat within a inch of his life by pickle. and gets up twice from his hospital bed to immediately go fight again
Is it wrong that Jack is my favorite character so far? Also, will he get more moments with Baki? I wanted to see more of their dynamic together.
An example of this is the way Rocky Marciano would duck into punches to get inside on taller opponents as he was only 5'11" I believe with stubby arms which is small for a heavy weight both in height and reach.
What is the one matchup that you wanted to see, but it didnt happen?
How frequently do other members of the cast lose teeth? Losing teeth used to be so common
nope. jack is a great character. unfortunately they only get like one moment together later in the pickle arc. not sure how far you are.
I want to see how oliva would stack up against pickle.
Doppo got his hand cut off and his face blown off and didn't mind fighting again
Baki the grappler: 371 chapters = 48 eps
New Grappler Baki: 276 chapters = 39 eps
Hanma Baki: 312 chapters =?? eps
My best guess is this:
It will get another 26 episode season, that will cover prison arc, pickle arc and Retsu boxing arc (if they adapt it at all). And then we will get another 13 episode season, that covers the Yujiro battle. I mean sure we would all want it to be a movie, but that aint gonna happen...
Jack vs Hanayama.
Pickle uses the most ancient, most pure martial art that came before any civilization. It was in his human blood. And you know what else is pure?
That's right, I see the initiated already nodding their heads. It's sumo. Oliva's only weakness. He has no chance against Pickle, the prehistoric rikishi.
honestly they could cover the prison arc and the side stuff like the mantis fight in 13 episodes
Its a damn shame how many people jump into the netflix series and are completely oblivious to it being a third season.
yeah I kind of wish netflix would have put a disclaimer on it. I see some review of it saying it does a bad job of introducing/setting up characters and they don't even realize its the 3rd season
Well, netflix is the master of devious misadvertidement.
