I'm not a pedo so I don't understand

Nobody wants to hear the anime was great(in my opinion miles better than the Arc's route in the visual novel) but hey, it's their loss if they don't want to watch a kino with god tier soundtrack.
Even if you did not like the art(which was at the very least decent) you can't seriously tell me the anime wasn't better written than the 12yo script from the visual novel.

Don't get me wrong, I know it was their first VN, and I think the overall story should have been only focusing on Kohaku and Hisui because their routes are perfect.
But the novel read like it was written by a 4th grader...which is fine I guess since at the time type-moon were pretty much amateurs.

And I bet anything that the anime did them a favor more than anything.
Only retards follow that shitty meme "hurrr it dont exist xDDD"

Saber and Arc!

By no means do I think the anime is bad. I genuinely like a few aspects of it. I thought the atmosphere and soundtrack were really great, but it could still look ridiculously cheap at points. Also, pacing suffers greatly from trying to incorporate a bunch of elements from other routes in a 12 episode series. That being said, I still like Arcueid's route in the VN better. Yes, the writing is extremely amateur and can even be unintentionally very funny sometimes (that's part of the appeal of Tsukihime to me honestly. Kinda similar to how I enjoy Deadly Premonition. Fucking hilarious at one moment and unironic kino the next). However, I much prefer the pacing of the VN's route. That being said, it's disappointing that I can't find much in terms of actual discussion about this anime adaptation because the "doesn't exist" meme worked. I think it's silly to ignore this anime's existence.

That meme's old as fuck man. Now we just kinda don't talk about it period. Hell, we barely talk about Tsukihime as is. Fate's devoured everything.

It's a shame, because Tsukihime and any other part of the nasuverse that isn't Fate is infinitely more based.

What's there to talk about? Anything that could be said about Tsukihime has already been said.

i listen to the ost quite a bit

Then just be fucking glad it concluded when it should have and isn't getting milked or bringing any retards in?

Should i watch the old anime or just wait for the remake? I've already read the manga years ago so i already know the story.

I guess. Shit just makes me feel comfy so that's why I still talk about it.

Read the original VN (all routes) and then watch the anime if you're still hungry for Tsukihime shit. Play Melty. Don't get your hopes up too high on the remake any time soon.

I totally get you, and I get actually some of the critics, it's in no way a masterpiece I think the anime suffers from its short length format and they simply couldn't fit all the narrative in, this is why the 3 last episodes were simply rushed into "Roa bad guy, kill Roa all is over...etc".
They did the same shit with the original Fate/Stay anime.

But most critics are so unfair towards it, because of that meme.
Are they seriously saying the art looks bad? I know that the animation is kind of cheap and imprecise in some moments I actually felt like they ruined some scenes, but the art is fantastic unfair from them to say that Arcueid looks like a man or that it's looks "bland" it fucking doesn't... The visual is objectively nailed.
The soundtrack? Extremely good.
The writing isn't even that important, I like to make the comparison, just to say that this anime has great qualities that are all discarded just for a stupid random meme, that retards like to keep on parroting without even give it a shot, and I'm sure a lot of them would actually love the anime if they would simply try it.

My distaste for the Tsukihime boils down to one thing:
>"I began to hate myself."

The manga is bad in my opinion, not the all of it of course, but the late parts and the ending, it's total crap.

Watch the anime.
Then read the visual novel or the remake.
The anime doesn't cover all the routes and some plot holes are left so you won't spoil yourself the alternate routes, and it's a good watch.

the anime, I mean.

Are you somehow implying that the anime is more accurate to the VN than the manga?

Agreed, it’s an unfunny and forced meme at this point.

nevermind, i thought the remake was for the anime, but it's actually a VN Remake(even tho' with how much leeway they have today, it's probably going to be adapted into anime eventually). Type Moon VNs are not for me, so i guess i will watch the old anime for now.

The anime is it's own version.
No I'm not implying that, the anime is its own version although it never contradicts the vn.

What I'm saying is the manga towards the ends adds a lot of unnecessary layers.
Also the manga has a "good ending" and it's crap.

You can run but you can't hide from the Tsukihime anime.

There are other routes that are arguably better than the main one, which isn't even the actual main plot because you miss out on some explanations about Shiki's past and the twins actual task and origin for instance.

The manga covers pretty much the whole Arcueid route, so you're not going to see much more in the anime, maybe even less, but like I said it's still a good watch.

It's kinda necessary for a visual medium like manga. Otherwise the story just ends with Arcueid showing up out of the blue, saying "Sorry I gotta leave forever" and Shiki just standing there. And that's it. Which is fine for literature I guess, but visually it's a bit drab. It's literally just

>And then she left.
>Fade to black.

>saying "Sorry I gotta leave forever" and Shiki just standing there

I guess it's subjective, I'm not a fan of these cheesy happy endings.
The manga does it without adding actual context, Shiki just teleports to her world and frees her, they had kids and lived happily ever after.
Besides I didn't understand why she is still chained after breaking from Roa, or was Roa not actually killed?

I did like succubus Arcueid and Shiki's last dream though it looked pretty neat..
