The script is well written, doflamingo is one of the best shounen villains ever. Only bad part about it was the final fight.
Only fightspics hate dressrosa. The final fight wasn't good on a technical level but everything else was great. Doflamingo and his family, the grand fleet, Law and senior pinks back story, Dressrosa as a location etc I guess rebecca could've been better but otherwise it was kino.

The toy factory and Sugar (press this self destruct button to defeat me heroes), the villain evil plan (like making everyone on the island and the gladiators their enemies for free because why not) and bridcage beg to differ.
Everything about the villains was so flawed that it was like watching a chapter of Perry the Platypus.

The toy factory was a business and also to stifle dissent. The 'evil' plan was just to run an underground weapons manufacturing and to control or erase important people from other nations while fronting as a benevolent king. It was all running smoothly until the strawhats showed up. The bird cage was bad though it did have symbolic reasons behind it.

Fujitora doesn't do shit when the Birdcage is about to kill everyone. He doesn't try to destroy it and doesnt try to fight Doffy and Fuji was a man that gouged out his eyes because he hated how cruel the world was. One Piss is such an awful series.

Doffy was one of the best shounen villains until the arc completly threw his character out of the window
It didn't throw anything out the window, dressrosa gave him great characterization. Only bad thing was how he fought like a tank in the end, should've just been beaten easily by gear 4th instead of dragging things out but the fight choreography being bad doesn't take much away from his character and personality.
Fujitora wanted Luffy to stop the bird cage, he couldn't legally touch the warlords himself, that's why he chose to gamble on Luffy for the time which is in line with his characterization. The marines legally can't touch the warlords unless they do shit particularly disapproved by the WG or are soundly defeated by a pirate that they're supposed to terrorize. It's like when doffy was telling sengoku about how easy his "island liberation" was going way back at sky island. Doffy even said that fujitora would have to prove he was breaking rules and fujitora admitted that he didn't have solid evidence. Only thing awful is your reading comprehension.
He couldn't destroy the birdcage without destroying dressrosa as well and there's nothing to say he wouldn't have beaten Doflamingo himself if things had gone too far.
