I've yet to read a single well-written LN.

I completed 'seiyuu rajio no uraomote' today and I loved it. It's about how newcomer seiyuu deal with their profession demanding more than voice acting skills, that is the idol facade. The pacing, scene construction and the flow of events is really good that I just completed it in one sitting without any distractions.

Is it written by someone with seiyuu experience?

I read OreImo, the first 3 volumes of Eromanga (need to go back and see how much has been translated since), and started HameFura. I have pretty basic bitch tastes.

No, the writer is an avid seiyuu radio lister and a seiyuubuta. Only volume 1 is out and 2nd volume will release on 10th this month.

Sounds slightly less interesting then, but I guess I'll check it out.

They're the equivalent of YA novels why do you expect good writing

no, aside from some of the monogatari translations and haruhi, not really
LNs just are trash for the most part and not really worth the time usually

"""""well-written""""" you mean

You're wrong. YA is just literature for teens that prepares them for "actual literature" when they grow up. LN is just a subculture of literature media. You can find LNs aimed at teens and you can also find LNs aimed at people in their 20s/30s.

I really don't like reading LN because they are written like scripts. I could force my way through but never found the stories interesting enough where I could see past the annoyance.

Decided to finally start Horizon after finding out it has been finished for quite some time now. I like how they properly give and explain side-character backgrounds and relationships.

This sounds fucking awesome as someone who likes seiyuu and idols, will check it out if translations ever start

I am planning to read osamake. Hope it's good

It's my main weeb entertainment these days.

nope I read webnovels
which is like LNs but worse

I would never read anything Kaos wrote, that's for sure.

Nah I only read real literature book like A Song of Ice & Fire or Harry Potter.

SoIaF is basically like an LN what with the incest and ending never

They aren't equivalent, they are both shit except the stench is different.

Where is the vol II. of this? I want all the internal monologues, scenes and characters cut from the anime like Eruna hugging Himi-chan and being fed seeds like a hamster of her deceased hamster's lover except it was a dream.

Not even Ryuuou no Oshigoto? That ranked at the top annually for really good reasons.

>harem
somehow I doubt it has good writing

>judging based on harem tag
Somehow I doubt you have a functioning brain.

It’s not like you can read anything other than popular isekai and harem trash in English anyway. Most of the classic LNs are still untranslated for some reason

I was reading Gamers until recently, but all that shitty internal monologue and shallow jokes turned me off. I just went back to rereading Netoge again.
Also, a warning if you're planning on reading the Gamers TL. The "translation" pretty much just guesses whenever the sentence isn't simple enough for MTL to understand so I'd stay away from it if I were you.

I liked gamers anime desu. It was like fun parody of romcom drama shit.

>LN thread
>it's all just shitposts from faggots who don't even read one
Sasuga

LNs are more of a /jp/ thing anyway

I finished reading Kyoukaisenjou no Horizon 6-C recently. I'm planning to read either read Heavy Object or Fate/strange fake next.

there is literally no good harem story fuck off

Date A Live and Infinite Stratos.

pardon my stupidity but what the fuck is the difference between a LN and a manga

>LN
pulp novel
>manga
comic

So few are translated it is hard to find nice romance stories.

>gamers anime
Exactly. It was better off like that since you won't be able to see all the monologue padding that's in the LN. Sure, you can get to see what Chiaki, Karen, and Aguri are thinking, but when the novels are predominantly from the annoying POV of Keita and Tasuku, it really reads like shit.
