Wan Piss is a drawn-out, boring, repetitive, childish POS. One of the worst ever fucking written full of immature cheesy ass comedy and snot-infested crying. A Goku rip-off named Luffy who wants to become Pirate King and find the One Piece. Really corny ass shit. Luffy is by far one of the worst characters ever: no depth, gets absolutely no character development and is so stupid it hurts. He always wins his fights with plot armor and asspulls, no strategy at all, he barely ever loses and when he does lose he still doesn't lose because he never learns from his mistakes. All the Strawhats suck and they act the same as they did since the beginning of the series and all the side characters are trash as well, One Piece introduces all these filler ass characters that just don't matter.
It's supposed to be about finding the One Piece yet barely anything that happens in the story has anything to do with that. The plot progression is non existent. This is how every arc in One Piece plays out: sail to an island, meet some boring new characters, get some corny overdramatic backstory about them, learn the island is being terrorized by a villain, Luffy decides he wants to help out and due to his plot armor he wins, rinse and repeat. That's it, sail to an island and do the same shit for 1000 chapters. Pure milking at its finest.
The power system is complete and utter garbage. They eat these random fruits that give them powers which makes absolutely no sense and was never explained then later in the series they introduced some bootleg ass kaioken dumb shit called Haki that made things even more stupid, the motherfucker gets aura now and then he hardens his skin. It's so stupid.
And last but not least the art style: One Piece has bar none some of the worst art in manga history. The girls have this really fucking tiny waist with these big breasts and they look so fucking unnatural and then you have these characters that just look so goofy. One Piece has the ugliest art out there.

I see OP the same way I do Fairy Tail. Its a very childish manga for young boys even compared to other shounen manga even though they're all technically for children. I only disagree with Zig Forums in the belief that childish automatically equals bad. I know One Piece is very childish and not all that deep but I enjoy reading it at the same time and get over the childishness because I understand I'm not the target audience. Oda deliberately wanted to craft a simple and optimistic world for young children and he did that masterfully.

Difference between OP and fairy tail is that there is actually a lot of beneath the childish and goofy veneer in OP. Children's stories don't usually deal with stuff like slavery, discrimination, genocide etc and don't really explore concepts like authority and anarchy.
