What are the chances that Uncle was punished or got trolled by the Gods? Him being Orc-tier ugly by that world's standards might be just another misinterpretation by him.
Two options I can think of:
1) Making him appear like an Orc to people native to the world. Since Mabel is from an Isekai bloodline, she would be immune to the effect.
Or
2) He got reincarnated as an Orc, but sees himself as human due to divine shenanigans. Mabel can see his true self instead.

The god in charge of that isekai world is so dead inside, he uses a pre recorded chinese voice to introduce asian people to the isekai world, even if they aren't chinese.
That's the reason uncle got hunted in the first place.

Why does this guy's doujin look so clean, but the manga look so rough (sorry for the lack of better word) at parts?

He has very strange style. I really looks weirdly amateur-like often, but maybe he just likes to draw like that, given how then he draws extremely elaborate pages. Also, first chapters in real world look like he spent much less time drawing.
He uses lots of lines and shading while usually people only use the main lines in much more clean manner (this should be choice).
Tho for example the monsters look all sorts of silly often, this probably shows he doesn't have much experience with designing and drawing them.

He might be a guy for whom nailing pretty manga style, realistic figures and the sort is not casual and routine, so he draws through patience/more work as opposed to people who really "have it in hand".
Which might explain why he has this amateurish streak often. But hey, it has personality, while lots of highly-skilled routinist artists are relatively sterile.
