>want to know why KnY got insanely popular >I'll give it a reread this week you're doing it wrong. watch the anime, it's what r*ddit can't shut up about.
Sebastian Davis
The anime got the attention of the broader Japanese audience which allowed then the learn about a decent manga that appealed greatly to the cultural and social beliefs of the Japanese population.
Cooper Turner
I think because it's mostly action. There's a single chapter between the train arc and the RLD and then another chapter or two between the village arc fight starting. Not to mention the infinity fortress arc is 135-200 and besides action it's nothing but people fighting for their life and dying
people like to complain about "asspulls" but it has amazing pacing which makes minor problems easily dismissable, it's really easy to get hooked since there's pretty much no downtime
>amazing pacing It’s literally so quick that it barely allows room for development or worldbuilding. Just because it isn’t snail paced doesn’t mean blitz speed pacing is good or better.
Carson Howard
maybe the blitz pacing is why its going well other popular shit like hero drags it's feet and it's dead
Matthew James
I wouldn’t call the pacing amazing, just efficient, and even then that’s not a particularly good thing, since we still miss a lot of needed info that only gets added during fights
Jace Stewart
>it barely allows room for development or worldbuilding
The beginning of the manga moved fairly slowly though. But yeah, I can't really say it had much worldbuilding but there was plenty of character development, at least before that character eventually died 5 chapters later.
Colton Wilson
A flashback before they fight or die is not character development.
Wyatt Watson
The speedy pacing is probably why so many people think it’s filled with asspulls. Wani just brushes over things or quickly introduces something instead of building it up/infusing it into the story so to some, things can seem convenient
Asher Baker
>there was plenty of character development, at least before that character eventually died 5 chapters later What's the point of this? I feel like Croc was just killing off characters for fun, really hard to care for any of them besides main trio.
Brayden Perry
>make cool character >make cool character fight a cool villain >fight over so character dies makes sense to me
James Butler
How do I be invested in any of the characters though if I know they only show up to die? I couldn't care about Rengoku because he dies the same arc he shows up in, his whole purpose was just to job and preach something to Tanjirou. There was nothing cool about that.
Elijah Garcia
You have to be kidding
Eli Peterson
I mean it sold millions it clearly works
Luke Hughes
Owari no Seraph is the only good thing on here.
Jack Robinson
When does it get good? I couldn't finish volume 2.
Nolan Gomez
rengoku is one character Take love, shinobu, mui and genya
Zachary Sanders
Better than no one dying series.
Asher Robinson
It's better in anime form. You have watched the series right?
Carson Ortiz
Idk I find it rather thrilling And really Rengoku existed to get a point across and set stakes for Tanjirou and friends
