Because the chapters have always released slowly, and it just felt incredibly unecessary. It was legitimately a moment that almost made me drop the manga. Especially knowing metal knight accomplished nothing. It was essentially 17 pages devoted to a gag.

I would consider it better than the amai redraw though still disappointed he cut out many great panels and part of the battle for it. I feel he still could have included them similar to how he did the zombie man revision.
Also saitama knocked into a dimension.
Saitama calls someone cool and then they recognize him.
They recognized before the their cool moment due to the meeting also emperor still doesn't fully trust him. Also only amai and emperor got that treatment

I think it was really lame. Before this Child Emperor managed to struggle out a win on his own, barely eking out a victory against an enemy that was nearly unkillable, all by himself. A demonstration of why he was S-rank, with demonstrations of Phoenix Man being reborn stronger after each defeat, making him harder and harder to take down.
Now it's just "I'm now a penguin. Oh yeah the Hero Association is doing evil stuff and you should believe me because I'm totally not trying to kill you." Then Saitama shows up and frees Child Emperor, Phoenix Man progresses to his final form and does the undead move, then Saitama says good job, then Zombieman calls to say good job for some reason. It felt like it really cheapened out on Child Emperor's hard-earned victory, retreading a scene that did not need to be retreated, and made Saitama, Child Emperor, and Zombieman all act out of character while still trying to hit the same action points the previous version had.
I don't particularly care if Phoenix Man survives or not, but Child Emperor executing him after he ripped off his own costume and depowered himself demonstrated the S-rank's ruthlessness towards monsters and inability to accept their existence, which is shown again later when he's one of the defeated S-ranks calling for Saitama to kill Garou, who refuses. Now instead having Child Emperor musing about shit that ONE brought up later to have him defect to the Neo Heroes is really dumb for this point in the story.
The Sweet Mask redraw was iffy, since it hinted at his true monster identity, but whatever. This one I think really brings down the story.
I liked Phoenixman even before this redraw, so seeing him interact with CE in this way was interesting. I still like the old version more, it was far less cluttered and had some legitimately great moments that don't get replicated here
