Mamoru Oshii's new yuri anime has a new PV. Looks like fun.

Vlad Love PV
looks nice.
thank god oshii's back to his roots
excited
I guess I should finally watch Urusei Yatsura, huh
>yuri
Dropped
no. you should watch patlabor
But I've already watched all of Patlabor
Oh, it actually looks good.
EZY when
>Oshii story
>fun
I'll believe it when I see it.
trying way too hard to be funny
Sometimes a corny and painfully-quirky show just works.
>yuri
>fun
It's always the same shit. No good yuri came out after Utena.
Huh, so they did keep the photo backgrounds
Why the fuck is Oshii making some shitty comedy?
He's going back to his roots
Full of references
>people literally on Zig Forums in 2020 think oshii is a sci fi director
what kind of references?
I mean his most recent film literally was a sci fi canadian co-production but I doubt anyone here has actually watched his live action stuff much less anything that isn't Ghost in the Shell
To other anime
JoJo is the most obvious to spot
I dont expect this to be a full on yuri anime. Just undertones
Soul.
Oh fuck off, not only is he most famous for sci fi but it's also the genre he worked the most in.
Is this yuri or yuribait?
Because there was another recent vampire yuri show that was non-stop bait.
What does it matter?
Its looking like a comedy first and foremost. Oshii never said it was going to be yuri, he just said it will be an all girls cast so expect light undertones
Which one was that?
He said it won't feature any men in the main cast, and while it is a comedy it will also be a serious/mature take on "girl meets girl".
Also forgot to say, note that the phrase "boy meets girl" always has romantic undertones, so I'm expecting there to be at least some yuri since he specifically says "girl meets girl".
Not cel, not soul.
I don't give a flying fuck of the (supposed) yuri (under)tones.
I just hope Oshii is still able to deliver a good slapstik comedy. Like, I really do hope.
