It's not who won, it's that the ending comes out of nowhere, it comes like whiplash getting another timeskip straight after another 3 year timeskip. As for Natsuo and Rui holding off the wedding until after Hina's recovery; that makes sense, they want to make sure she's safe and well. Haruka's birth was inevitable, and abortion would chum up the water for Ruifags just as much as the ending.
For any Zig Forumsnons who want my wishes on this hypothetical re-write, focus a bit more on the point in-between the accident, the semi-breakup, and Hina's inevitable resurrection (when Chapter 274 roughly takes place)
