Yep.

Zig Forums thinks it is shit. But it is the single greatest thing that has been invented since bread

Yes because Zig Forums says it's shit.

That's just angry reeeeposters, not Zig Forums as a collective.

No.

It's better.

Based

Zig Forums as a collective thinks it's a stinking pile of shit

>Delusional

Hilariously false.

Yes, a solid 4/10.

Didn't know you represent Zig Forums as a collective seething newfag.

As you can see in that bottom 3%, you have the reeeeposters.

It's the greatest shounen manga period, even after post time skip. Don't know if that's a testament to One Piece's quality or speaks to the average quality of shounen.

Individuals who appreciate One Piece are simple-minded and should look for more instruction and story understanding right away.

Protip: whenever you see One Piece threads, take a look at the posts.
The majority of the posts have glaring incorrect spellings in their posts. Capitalization and accentuation is overlooked, and Reddit-style folly is stressed.

This embodies the low knowledge level of OP readers. It isn't without reason either.

One Piece is essentially a story that was excessively sensational and audacious, a story that should've spoke to anybody with a feeling of heart. Nonetheless, the vast majority have seen this procedure in the types of books, motion pictures, reality, or some other medium. The sensational, sad, and comedic story has been done numerous multiple occasions, and the single destruction of an over-sensationalized "ground-breaking" characters should no longer influence the scholarly in an extreme manner.

In any case, One Pieces intended interest group comprises of 12 year olds who have never experienced types of higher writing or story. If one somehow happened to watch OP without having encountered stories with experience in them, they would utilize OP as the base an incentive for the class. Nonetheless, in the event that one were increasingly instructed on the parts of activities and undertakings, one would see OP as a poor endeavor to interest their crowds.

Absolutely. You should catch up before it ends so you don't miss out on the biggest cultural event in all of manga.

Nah it's better

Continued

Once the emotional and adventuring components of OP are evacuated, the rest of the residue are made out of inadequately described young men and melancholy comedic scenes. Basically, this is the thing that OP is to the informed and educated. A straightforward show which has no intrigue at all. In any case, to the uneducated, OP speaks to another kind of anime they have quite recently experienced.

Albeit one can view another kind as magnificent, I would inform one to seek after more subjects with respect to that classification. There is no point groveling over a solitary anime that began telecom months or years prior. I would recommend that, rather than making another OP thread, you ought to go observe some more anime. Or then again, even better, you can generally go read a book.

>intended interest group
Intended, but the actual group it gathered is quite a bit different.

Why are we so irrelevant in the west, OPbros?

Are those bottom panels from HxH?

It's sad to think there are "people" on this board who cannot comprehend something as universally appealing as ONE PIECE. A manga created with both love and intellect, ONE PIECE is a story that surpasses all other shonen, builds a world like no other and details the lifestyle of the Overman (Ubermensch), Monkey D. Luffy. The Overman is the man who knows that will to power produces all our values, and sees also the lie in our "moralities," aggressively seeking to express his will to power in a creative and novel way, to create something uniquely personal, uniquely human, which can give value to others. He love the freedom of life, but doesn't fall into the traps of other , admittedly compelling characters like Eren Jaeger, whose actions would see everyone lose their freedom. The world of ONE PIECE is based primarily on the world during the Golden Age of Piracy, in which giant naval powers, both legitimate and illegitimate commanded the global stage, but the actions of individual men and their crews were enough to shake the foundations. The manga takes this world and imposes a cosmocracy upon the seas, one that is both inherently corrupt and a force of stability. The ground shakers, the men who aren't allowed to be themselves in fear of their effect on the power structures that be, they are made to be the pirates in this semi allegorical world. ONE PIECE simply is a force to be reckoned with in its worldbuilding.

Imagine forming your own pirate crew in the world of ONE PIECE. Taking out to sea with your small crew, visiting dangerous lands and meeting earnest villagers, training your abilities, improving your ship, bonding, fighting off rivals and powerful marines. Arriving at Sabaody Archipelago with your peers in this generation of challengers...the New World awaits...

Recommended readings for One Piece include Thus Spoke Zarathustra, Infinite Jest, A General History of the Pyrates, War and Peace, Moby Dick, and Politics.

Imagine being so mentally retarded.

Dangerously based!

Compared to physically retarded?

I've read all sorts of literature and One Piece is equivalent to stuff like LOTR and The odyssey. Stories with soul and heart will always be loved and will have a place in literature along side the kafka's and Dostoevsky's. Anyone that isn't intellectually insecure can appreciate it. One Piece isn't about overthrowing dictators at it's core either since beating no single person could solve the central conflict between anarchy and justice in the story. It tells stories like marineford as well which between all the chaos and war and power escalation is ultimately just a story about a guy trying his hardest to save his brother along side other personal stories like the water 7 saga. Not many people read One Piece to see a powerful enemy being overthrown. Only morons who know nothing about story telling think the technical manner in which enemies are beaten is the most important aspect of a story as well. Fights are used as a narrative tool for emotional resonance most of the time, they're a means to an end but not the end itself or the story. There's nothing quite like One Piece in any medium.

If you had understood what I had written you would not have made the mistake of replying with such Reddit-style folly.

>Some ESL actually wrote fake internal monologues for One Piece

It has a lot of things going for it.
>Fun and unique character designs
>Great sense of humor
>Consistently strong worldbuilding and plotting (some of the best worldbuilding in a manga)
>Enjoyable characters and powers
>Strong paneling (early)
>Great sense of adventure and wonder
>Extremely strong and hard-hitting emotional beats
>Flashbacks that are actually good

But I don't think it's perfect.
>Female characters, despite having powers, either don't get to fight much at all or they get dumb gimmick powers that play into some of the weakest/most one-sided fights in the series
>Oda sometimes hinges on contrivances and the characters acting stupid in order to make certain plot elements work, and it's especially noticeable here since this manga is full of gags
>When characters don't have significant focus, they are reduced into one-dimensional gag dispensers which means at the drop of a hat characters like Sanji can turn from based to fucking unbearable
>Oda's paneling only gets worse as he rushes to finish the story, making it a far less enjoyable read thanks to the cramped and more "economic" panelflow
>Character designs occasionally take a step down, namely Franky and Chopper (the latter of which has been reduced to a mascot with little relevancy)

All things considered it's still really good and the pros outweigh the cons. It has dropped off a bit compared to pre-timeskip but nowhere near as hard thanks to clear planning and foresight on Oda's part, making it clear that it's constantly building towards conclusions and won't lose its sense of direction.
